 1 Shout Out!
Now we just need the others to hurry up and announce themselves. To be honest, what I briefly played of the demo made me think Bienfu is Monica Rial.

@Unknownsage13 Bienfu: I'LL TELL ANYTHING!!!

@Unknownsage13 oh if I had just waited an hour. Lol she just confirmed it.

So excited to finally hear Erica Mendez in a Tales game. She's been dreaming to be in one for years! lol When I heard Eleanor for the first time, I was like yep, that's Mendez.

@Dawnlight Agreed! She has such a distinct voice that I recognized her in those brief clips from trailers. Then the demo came out and I was like "YEP!"

I'm pretty glad that they managed to keep the actors the same between the Zestiria anime and this.

Now I just gotta finish Zestiria, then I can tackle this.

 2 Shout Outs!
For anyone interested, we finally got some more english footage! And actually legitimate trailers and preview footage and not just demo footage from events.

Sounds like Cherami Leigh is in it, but I don't think her character is a significant one. Also Altorius sounds VERY familiar.

@Unknownsage13 I totally think Velvet sounded alot like Cristina Vee, but I don't know about Laphicet and Artorius though yet?
said at 1:21 AM on Thu Dec 15 2016
@Unknownsage13 Oh yeah, Velvet is most certainly Christina Vee.
said at 5:12 PM on Thu Dec 15 2016
@King Marth 64 @Gaddes Yep! In the two Berseria episodes of the anime I did not recognize her. But looks like pre-tragic-origin-story she has the standard CristinaVee voice.

@Unknownsage13 I think Artorius may be Ray Chase.
said at 9:48 AM on Wed Jan 18 2017
@BioZero216 Huh. Any other role of his that sounds like Artorius? Just so I can do a comparison.

@Unknownsage13 Puri Puri Prisoner, maybe.

 1 Shout Out!
We have some official gameplay videos with the English dub now:

Despite the little dialogue we can hear, it sounds like the cast used in the Zestiria anime are back, which is pretty awesome. We also get to hear the voices for Eleanor, Laphicet and Eizen, though I can't really tell who any of them are (Eleanor does sound like Erica Mendez a bit).

US release? Happy birthday to me, I guess.

I think either of these three actresses could make a good English voice for Velvet: Erica Mendez, Trina Nishimura, Brina Palencia.

@Dawnlight I also think that Carrie Keranen or Erica Lindbeck are good options as well.

@Dawnlight Velvet reminds me of Rias. So part of me is hoping for Jamie Marchi. But would be done for Trina is she did her Mikasa voice.

Velvet, Rokurou and Seres were in the most recent episode for the Tales of Zestiria anime. Since Funimation is doing a broadcast dub there is a possibility Marchi could play her; though there's no guarantee whoever gets cast for these roles would reprise them for the game's dub unless FUNi and Bandai Namco (and whatever California studio they end up using) are on the same page asap...

I won't hope for anything; rarely am I excited by the results. Nothing ever good seems to happen to VAs I like or who deserve it.

@Honest_Guy_Says Yeah. Like I'm pretty sure at this point they probably already have cast the voice actress for Velvet and the other characters. And heck, may have even finished their recording for the game (it seemed like Zestiria was finished being dubbed like a year before it came out). The question is, can Funimation find out who Velvet is by contacting the company? If there is an NDA hold, could the actress playing Velvet have secretly revealed herself to Funimation executives? Lot of what ifs. I'm just gonna expect a different actress for her in the anime than in the video games so I'm not disappointed.

I won't deny the fact that I'm hyped for this game, but the announcement about releasing the game only on Steam and PS4 (which are consoles that I don't have nor can I afford them) practically killed my hype.

@Jared Delgado Steam is just PC. You don't have a PC?

@NCZ A Windows 7 Acer, Aspire One. Does that count?

@Jared Delgado I'm not an expert but I don't think Tales games are particularly technically-demanding so yeah, you should be fine.

No, he won't be. Windows 7 probably won't be able to run it, especially on a cheap Acer model computer. He'll be lucky if the computer isn't killed when he tries to run it.

@Bloodhsed113094 You sure about that? These are the specs for Zestiria (which runs on the same engine).

As you can see they're pretty low. Granted there are some specifics regarding drivers and stuff that might need to be double-checked, but generally speaking in theory even a computer with Vista could run it.. as can Win7, so that point's moot.

Tales games aren't power-pushing at all so the thought of them killing a typical laptop is pretty hyperbolic, but that said the Aspire One is a netbook which may introduce some problems. But since the game comes out next year in the west that still gives plenty of time to get the necessary system.

@NCZ Well, to be honest, my PC doesn't have a disc port, so there's no way for me to play the game even if I afforded Steam.

@Jared Delgado Steam is a digital service, so you just download the game. No disc drive needed.

@Nightmare Crusher One more thing I wnt to know: Is it possible to put a PS3 controller to a computer that runs Steam and work well?

@Jared Delgado If you have a USB cable for the controller it should be possible. I'm not exactly familiar with the process so you might have to download some (free) software to get it to run.

The game looks like it's using a bit more cel shading compared to other recent entries, that's always a plus.

A shame that the combat is looking pretty Zestiria-y
