After looking at the credits for this game and Google-searching the two women listed as the casting directors, I've discovered one of the two (possibly the main one, not sure what their individual casting duties were) casting directors named Brigitte Burdine was severely injured in a hit-and-run incident and shortly after died the same day three years and one day ago. I find this to be a dreadfully unfortunate fact. She did such a bang-up job on this game and numerous others and I can just tell she was a genius at voice-casting, and it just feels wrong to know she's no longer with us.

Like I said several months ago, she and Sandy should have been given a darn award, as well as whoever personally directed the actors. R.I.P.

@PsychicVoiceSpy A shame about that. Brigitte has done some great directing in Fatal Frame II, Tales of Symphonia and Mortal Kombat (2011).

I believe she also did anime voice work in Monster.

This was the 1st Spiderman game I ever played & I enjoyed every minute of it. It had a low number of actors as most of the characters were done by the GREAT Dee Bradley Baker & the GREAT Daran Norris This was also Rino Romano's best performance as Spiderman.

@Ross123 I completely agree. I see this game as the PS1 era's Arkham Asylum. At the time of each of their respective release dates, they revolutionized superhero games and sucked you into the worlds of both characters in a way no one had ever managed up til that point. I owe my love of Spider-Man to this game as I owe my love of Batman to Arkham Asylum.

@PsychicVoiceSpy I never mentioned this in the post above but I personally feel that this the best Spiderman game ever made. That's just my opinion though, well game play & story wise not so much voice acting.

Shame the sequel didn't do as well as I had hoped.

@Ross123 "Shame the sequel didn't do as well as I had hoped."

When you say this, do you mean the quality of the game wasn't as good, or that it wasn't as much of a financial success? Now, it's been years since I've played it, and it sorta lacked the energetic pacing of the first game, but I remember it improving on the controls and graphics as well as being a very good game in it's own right.

If you meant that it wasn't as good, then I can sorta see that, but I remember it making some very noticeable improvements from the first like better controls, more costumes, better graphics, and a few other things. If you meant it wasn't as much of a financial success as the first game, then I agree. It's a shame, because I would have absolutely loved a sequel to these two games on the PS2 or something.

@PsychicVoiceSpy What I mean is that the story wasn't the best. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it but I thought it was lacking something.

Also in my opinion, the experience wasn't as memorable . At least for the 1st game I can remember almost everything about it (even the slightest detail, I think). This one doesn't give me the same feeling at all.

However, I wish there had been a 3rd game in some ways. I have the prefect story line for it: The Kingpin releases all the criminals in prison with the help of Sandman & Beetle (who both got away in the previous game). However though, the Jade Syndicate thug gets left behind while every1 else escapes. Spiderman has to recapture all the villains while trying to find out what Kingpin's plan is.

I never came up with any thing else after that but I like what I thought up so far.

Whoever directed the voice-acting in this game should have been given an award. The very fact that Daran Norris and Dee Bradley Baker played over half the cast without any of their voices sounding comparable to each other, while also getting great performances out of the rest of the cast is a remarkable feat. By only casting a handful of extremely competent actors they truly got some bang for their buck.

I would dare to say this had the most impressive voice-acting out there for it's time, excluding perhaps Metal Gear Solid. This game has had a huge impact on me and it will continue to be an inspiration to me for years to come.

This game was my introduction to the talents of Daran Norris (Along with his Rei in Fist of the North Star) and Dee Bradley Baker. It's amazing how versatile they are in this game.

Daran Norris played the most just right venom Hell he did a good job with everyone shows how good Baker and Norris are in the field in order to be able to play so many characters

@jonhardwick: I know, right? Dee Bradley Baker too, I knew he was versatile, but every time I saw his face on this list I went like "Holy shit, that was him too?" he's just that cool.
