This is one of my favourite games. Apart from the glitches and really bad voice acting, the story was good and I enjoyed everyone's gameplay except for Big's gameplay and Amy was too slow in this. I prefer the gameplay for this more than SA2.

@Truesonic To be fair, they were starting out here...and I like the gameplay for SA2 WAY more, but then again you're free to your opinion.

@Truesonic I really like this game too. It's rough around the edges, but it's still quite fun and very nostalgic. I also love the soundtrack; Jun Senoue is a genius.

No problem, man. I can totally see and understand why you and many others would prefer SA2 over SA1. (More diversity, gripping story, nice character development, variety of music and additionally fun content such as multiplayer and chao gardens). I have often found my opinion changing on which Adventure game is better over the years. Ultimately though, they both have their advantages and flaws but still managed to be enjoyable in their own way. Although, I much prefer SA1's style of gameplay for every character (Except for Amy and Big). And as for the original cast, I personally think most of them gave better performances in SA2. Ryan Drummond and Deem Bristow in paticular were good in that game.

@Truesonic SA2 generally had better graphics and all-around production values, but I preferred this one over it mostly because of the "open-world" gameplay. The Adventure Fields allowed more freedom and being able to explore the same areas with different characters was fun. In SA2, you played as an entire side rather than as a character in story mode, and nobody shared a single Action Stage except the last one.
