i think the voice actor of the game shadow the hedgehog is the most AWESOME, BEST, COOLEST PERSON I HAVE EVER HEARD, (besides Silver the hedgehog's voice)

When this game was first announced, I thought it was an April Fool's joke. I rented this game a few weeks after it's release, and I never picked it up again. I thought the controls were terrible, especially when Shadow ran fast. The guns didn't left an impression on me, and I didn't bother with the vehicles. I also didn't like how you were suppose to get 10 different endings to get the last story, and then find out the rest of the endings weren't cannon. But what I didn't understand, and this is the worst of all in my opinion, why they needed to make a dark, apocalyptic, serious story about a cartoon hedgehog. And it didn't make sense to me that an evil immortal alien is Shadow's biological father, who is a hedgehog. And as a fan of the character I hate what they did to him in this game, I'm sorry but I just hate what they did to Shadow. I know he is the anti-hero who is suppose to be badass, but he was fine in Adventure 2; he was already a badass anti-hero in his own right without the need to swear, or use guns, that's why he was so popular when he died and people wanted him back. All in all, Shadow the Hedgehog just left a bad taste in my mouth, and I hope they don't approach to the dark apocalyptic idea again.

The first time I played this game I made up different combinations and wanted to see the outcome of Shadow's future. Some of them made me say, "Holy crud! Did he kill Eggman?" or I said, "How the heck did that happen?" Sometimes when I was playing through each level of the game I was often confused because at one level he has no idea what the ARK was and the next level he knows all about it! Hmmm...maybe Shadow is psychic or something... (Laugh) Oh well, the graphics for the CG cutscenes were pretty detailed for a game made in 2005, but the gameplay graphics could've been a little more detailed (but that really depends on what kind of software they are using to create the game with) and maybe they could have put more weapons and tactics in the 2P mode! I was pretty much hooked on this game for about six months when I bought it, but then I bought Secret Rings when it came out.
Anyway, I still think this game was overall OK, despite some the conflicting story lines and somewhat poor graphics. It totally shows how violent and how independent that short, black hedgehog can be...with or without a gun!

I always sticked to the Hero Side whenever I played this game.
But I enjoyed playing it though. ^_^

I played either all the way evil all the way good or all the way neutral... but in any case this game was OK sometimes.

I agree I liked the game too...It's not that Sonic games have been bad these past years it's just that some needed more improvment and transformation in order to make it better I liked Shadow because it had a different variety of elements I'll admit there's a bit too much Replay value in order to maintain the final story, some veichles needed to be in other enviroments (Levels) despite those things I liked this game and it does bring back memories I like the change in levels and the story and I liked the voice acting too so I'm with you too NCZ :D

This game is so nostalgic. I played it practically every day when it came out. That continued for a little over a year. I will admit it has flaws (slightly dated graphics even for 2005, not enough motorcycle action, it's hard to take the game seriously when you're a metre-tall hedgehog), but I still think it's a cool game.

Sonic 2006, nobody should argue with that. It's by far one of the worst games ever made.
