Mega Man X4 was truly an excellent game. Too bad about the poor voice acting though. Oh well, there is always Yukie Nakama's singing of the main theme to go with.

@Fulgore2005 There is Lucas Gilbertson's take on the infamous "what am I fighting for" scene on Youtube, don't forget.

That said, I really wish the Blue Water cast got to dub this one officially. Would've done the game wonders.

@Metabad It almost happened. The X collection was going to have X4 redubbed. That is, until Capcom decided to hold off on that for the remakes of X2-X5 they had planned. The problem is that they were cancelled because Maverick Hunter X didn't sell enough copies and the other remakes were never made. What a shame.

@Nightmare Crusher "Maverick Hunter X didn't sell enough copies and the other remakes were never made."

Don't remind me. T_T

Favourite X title. Just a shame the voices are terrible, but otherwise, it's amazing, highly recommend it.

Great game, terrible voice acting. A shame Capcom will never remake it with the new voice cast (Mark Gatha, Lucas Gilbertson, etc).

The brown-headed hunter from the Sigma vs. Zero flashback (aka the one with more lines) is definitely done by the same person as Colonel in English (Meersbergen).

Also, in the scene where Double transforms, the hunter who says "Hey Double, what's the matter?" is most certainly Doster.

The announcer ("Ready," boss names, Get a Weapon) also sounds like General (this is especially apparent in the "Independence" cutscene).

Speaking of General, his pre-battle quotes, quite honestly, sounds like a completely different person, and what's more they sound just like Dr. Wily. I think that's Corner; the cast-to-character format doesn't leave many other options.

This is pretty much my second favorite Megaman X title. Its story is full of depth, you can choose between either X or Zero, the music is simply badass, the level designs are solid, and best of all, the gameplay is so fleshed out!

Of course, one problem everyone (and even I) will never come across is the laughably bad voice acting. I'll say this right now: the hilarious voicing was a bit fitting for its time, given that Capcom hasn't come across any real VA talent ("You were almost a JILL SANDWICH!") at the time. It sounds grating alright, but not to the point where it gets about as annoying as either Slippy Toad or Navi... {shivers}

You are so right about Slippy and Navi being really annoying. Although did you actually know that there was a Chinese version of Star Fox 64 with Chinese voice acting?
