 6 Shout Outs!
Happy 6th birthday, Uprising! The game that made me realize the line between consoles and handhelds had been blurred forever. I'll never forget being absolutely blown away by just how much the game smashed every single one of my expectations going in, and just how densely packed it is with love and care. It's one of the biggest and best surprises I have ever had from any game. I have always loved and admired Sakurai's work, with his Kirby games (AND AIR RIDE!) and especially Smash Bros. defining my love of games growing up, but this is the game that cemented him, in my mind, as one of the greatest game creators who ever lived. I still hope one day Sakurai can make a sequel (or at least get us a Switch HD port), but as a one-off, you can't wrap it up more tightly with a nicer bow. To this day, 6 years later, one of my top 10 favourite games of all time.

What we need right now, is a new Kid Icarus game for the Nintendo Switch

@Shaun Ince Agreed. I really hope Nintendo revives this franchise like they did with Metroid (a new Star Fox and F-Zero would be apprenticed as well)

We did just get a new Star Fox, though it was kind of a missed opportunity if you ask me. Though, we ARE finally getting Star Fox 2, so that's a pretty awesome consolation.

As for Kid Icarus, I'm just excited to see what Sakurai's working on in general. I'd be stoked if he did a sequel, but I also wouldn't complain if he got to work on a new IP... or be still my heart, Kirby Air Ride 2.

I would completely settle for an HD remaster of Uprising. The game came out in only the 3DS's first year, and it already pushed the console to the limits and beyond with what they pulled off. It genuinely felt like a full-blown console game on a handheld. That's something I kept crossing my fingers for on Wii U, but if they did that on Switch, that would be completely perfect.

I don't own nor have I played the game...yet, but I love the characters, the humor, the voice acting, the character's visual designs, the graphics, and the music. My favorite characters are Pit, Palutena, Hades, Magnus, Phosphora, Viridi, Dark Pit, and Medusa.

I like Pit and Dark Pit. True meaning of both Angels of Light and Dark.

I love that this is the first Nintendo game that uses familiar Los Angeles voice actors that can carry a role remarkably as opposed to the previous hit-or-miss voices in past Nintendo games.

I love the direction they've taken with this game, the way it doesn't take itself too seriously. There's action, but also a lot of comedy too. The characters are incredibly charismatic and likable. The dialogue is kind of campy, but in an endearing way.

And of course, the voice acting is excellent! All the characters have outstanding chemistry together, and the fact that they used well-known animation actors helps lend the game a Saturday morning cartoon feel.

Masahiro Sakurai really knows how to make games. Here's hoping his next effort is equally impressive.

i thought it was going to be a typical anime acting (nothing wrong with that tho) when i bought this game. but after playing it the acting is almost disney status O_O, as for the diaolog itself. its as funny as story compelled mario games.. (which is awesome) and extra points for being the first Nintendo title to make a sex joke

@Bombermanp Actually, I'm pretty sure there was a sex joke in one of the Fire Emblem games.

@Bombermanp Also, Snake's codec conversation against Samus in Brawl. Still quite surprising for them.

@NCZ There's even a swear word at one point, even if quite a few people don't consider it one.
