I like this game though the things that piss me off about it is unfair difficulty and being required to everything just to proceed through the game.

Other than those 2 aspects. It's a fun ride and a completely different direction from the 1st game.

 1 Shout Out!
Man this game and the first were very different games, it's odd they went that direction with it

@Music Meister From what I've read, it was partially in reaction to the exploding popularity of games like Grand Theft Auto 3 and some of the other games with darker stories being released around that time. The GTA influence in particular is probably the main reason this game switched to a more open-world type with heavier emphasis on violence and swearing. After that, the lighthearted and silly platformer style of the first game got kissed goodbye.

@PsychicVoiceSpy A shame too, that's what turned me off from the series. It's not too hard and I can think of series that have done it worse but I still don't like the direction it took

@Music Meister I actually kind of like that they tried to make the following games a darker, but I gotta say that they tried a little too hard and overdid it. I like both sequels, but I think they could have handled things better than they did.

@PsychicVoiceSpy I do however respect that they maintained the game's art style, thus allowing the series to keep more of its distinctive identity. Though looking back, I agree that the transition in tone could've been at least a little smoother.
