Full disclosure while I try and sort Lady's situation out.

In Devil May Cry 3, Stephanie Cheeva did the motion capture for Lady. However, Kari Wahlgren voiced her as her European accent was considered too thick.

Kari Wahlgren is more or less confirmed to have voiced Lady in at least DMC3.

In Devil May Cry 4, Laura Napoli is credited for Lady and Kyrie. However, her resume only notes that she did the motion capture, whereas for Dead Rising, she notes that she both mocapped and voiced Jessica.

Kate Higgins is credited as Lady on the Special Edition's website (go to "Introduction").

The question for now is if Kate Higgins also voiced Lady in the original version of DMC4, or if she just did the new stuff for the special edition. I will say it doesn't sound like her in the original game, but the one snippet we've heard in the new SE trailer does.

@NCZ Yeah, the fact that the special edition's site lists Kate Higgins made me wonder if she really did Lady in the original version of the game.

Unless if she did new recordings for DMC4 SE along with re-recording the original voice clips, we won't know for sure if she did voice Lady in the original PS3 and 360 release.

If memory serves, Kari Wahlgren stopped appearing in non-union works between late 2006 and early 2008. If this can be confirmed, then this may be the last non-union thing she worked on since she moved on to become a full union voice actress around the time DMC4 was released.

Hopefully I can be of assistance in explaining this the best I can.

Whoever Lady was in DMC4, it sure ain't Higgins. Different voice type, different take, different everything. She's new for SE.

Isn't there some New Generation Pictures girl that comes close to Wahlgren's voice type?

@rosebr10 Actually, it was ZRO Limit Productions did the voice recording for DMC4.

Oh, so it is. Well that better explains the difficulty curve, then.

@NCZ it's clear Kari was Lady in 4. the contrast is very clear, and Kari has the type of voice that's very noticeable.

Is this is the first Devil May Cry game to have a Japanese audio track? I like that Kaito Ishikawa voice acts as Nero. Five playable characters, I just hope that Trish, Lady and Vergil have their own campaign (all be it small).

Very interesting to hear what Reuben Langdon said during his appearance on 1337 Lounge live. He said that the design of Dante for the game was a combination of himself and David Beckham.
