 1 Shout Out!
Riddler kinda sounds like Robin Atkin Downes in the gameplay footage. That'd be interesting.

@D.A.V.E. Joker AND Riddler? This is going to be interesting. Who else are we going to get? Who else fits the bill of "monsters in repose?"

Anyone else think that the character's designs seem to be based on the actor's portraying them?
Bruce looks like Troy Baker
Harvey looks like Travis Willingham
Penguin looks like Jason Spisak
Carmine Falcone most certainly looks like Richard McGonagle

Gotta say this game lives up to the hype. Might just be the best rendition of Batman since the Dark Knight Trilogy.

This is officially my new favorite version of Batman. It handles every character perfectly.

This Series had a pretty interesting conclusion, although I'm curious if Telltale will make a Telltale Series 2 given the way it ended. Troy Baker's Batman performance was truly remarkable in this game (as opposed to his previous attempt at it), and he managed to bring a lot in the way of depth and character to his portrayal, also differentiating between the billionaire playboy persona of Bruce Wayne to the dark, brooding Batman very nicely and almost seamlessly.

The rest of the voice acting was extremely on point, too, at least as far as the main cast goes: Travis Willingham made Two Face seem like such a tragic character struggling to grip with reality, Laura Bailey did a surprisingly great Catwoman/Selina Kyle performance full of subtleties in her delivery, and Jason Spisak's performance as Penguin is deliciously smug and the accent is a nice touch. I also really loved Enn Reitel's intelligent yet warm sounding performance as Alfred, and Dave Fennoy was just great as Lucius. Anthony Ingruber's performance as Joker was fairly average, although I feel that he showed a lot of potential in the role, particular with his laugh.

I must say that, for the first time, I'm torn between Kevin Conroy and Troy Baker's take in the Telltale Series here, for my favorite English voice over performance as Batman in general. If there was ever someone I'd want to be Conroy's successor, though, it would definitely be Baker under this kind of vocal direction.

All in all, this was a great new take on the franchise, and well worth checking out.

Saw Joker in the trailer for Ep 04 ... not gonna lie, I don't know how to feel about him being dragged into another game. The voice actor's first impression is interesting though. I wonder who he's voiced by.

I think they should've brought Troy back as Joker. It'd be cool to hear him play both roles at once.

Although I kinda wish Joker didn't appear at all...

@GreenGoblin75 - I'm fine with him being a different actor. I wasn't too crazy about his Joker to be honest.

And yeah, I have to agree. But since he's here, I'll be fine with it as long as they don't pull an Arkham Origins and make him the main villain at the last minute.

@HyperVoiceActing Nah, there's already been a surprise reveal with the main villain. and it's not Joker. (No one say who it is.)

@HyperVoiceActing
Yeah, I can see where you're coming from: I think Anthony's Joker is decent myself, though- it's nothing special, definitely, but he still has some moments of sounding menacing and smug at times, and at least it's not the worst Joker by any means. He sounds a bit like Sonny Strait from the Texas voice over talent at times, IMO.
HyperVoiceActing
said at 9:20 AM on Fri Nov 25 2016
@WrightWay - Honestly, and I mentioned this in the Joker voice compare, but Anthony's Joker I think is how Heath Ledger and Brent Spiner SHOULD have been like. He has a similar vocal pitch and a few mannerisms, but something about his delivery really feels more "Joker-ish" than the other two.

I agree: that's more or less what I've also been getting out of his portrayal as well.

I like how, in the last episode, Jason's Penguin modifies his accent in public to make himself sound more respectable. Or at least less like the voice heard at the debate.

I'll be honest: I wasn't that keen on Troy Baker being chosen to voice Batman at first but...wow, after seeing the first 3 episodes of this, I think he's absolutely deserving of the praise he's been getting lately, there's so much depth & weight to his performance and he really sells the emotion very well.

Same goes for Travis Willingham as Two-Face, too: he brought a lot of realism to the role that I was expecting from him, either.

Regarding the Series itself, I actually love the direction it went in so far, it's different from the usual Batman Series, but in a good way- shows that not everything is as black and white as it appears, and that there's always a gray area, IMO.

I was worried Travis' Two-Face would be too hammy, but I was pleasantly surprised. He's actually really, really unnerving sounding.

I know that Troy is a much more star-studded actor, but seeing that Troy previously played Batman in the LEGO games, I kinda want to hear Christopher Corey Smith as a serious Joker as well.

Especially considering he's the only VA (besides the obvious) to play both Luke Skywalker & the Joker.

& of course Steve Blum could pull off both serious Batman *&* serious Joker with ease. I wouldn't necessarily want to hear them against each other, but they're different enough pitches that Steve's one of the few VA's I dont mind doing both

@Nightmare Crusher Aight. That being said, I still think a lot of folks would dig a mainstream Joker by Christopher Corey Smith.

Trpy actually makes a pretty good Batman in this game. Laura has improved from Lego Batman 3 as Catwoman which is nice to see. Erin Yvette is great as Vicki Vale. So far the cast from the first episode has been very good.

After playing the game, Troy Baker as Batman was awesome. He just continues to show so much range considering he also voiced Joker once.

Very interesting cast so far. Now we'll see Troy playing Batman with more juicer/heavier material and not be restricted to the Lego games. Same goes for Laura Bailey as Catwoman. I do wonder if we'll have more characters appear somewhere down the line considering TellTale games are episodic. Would like to see the likes of Penguin, Riddler & Mr Freeze in this game.

It's also a surprise to have Renee Montoya return. Than again, Harvey Bullock was in Origins.

I always thought Troy could potential be as good a Batman as Kevin but yet to really nail down a really great "Batman" sound, he's gotten real close to a great Batman voice.
Hopefully with some heavier material, Troy can finally be the awesome Batman I know he can be.
Laura already proved she's a great Catwoman so I hope she just brings that performance back.

Everyone else I don't know but I have high hopes.
