 2 Shout Outs!
Justin Briner was in this as well? Dear god how many Funi VAs are COT going to pull out of there pocket? (seriously though it would be cool to see J Micheal Tatum, Jamie Marchi, Sonny Strait, Aaron Dismuke, Trina Nishmura and Eric Vale in a video game dub. Is that being to greedy?)

@Soul-dragon Tatum got himself covered for ya, he was in Killing Floor which also had some FUNi names but some LA (Kaiji Tang, Dwight Schultz ones and one NY (Eli James) face and Tales of Xillia 2 where he played Julius Kresnik.

Whenever the video game industry decides that Okatron5000 should be used more often for video game dubs, that will be the day when Dallas VAs will frequent more often in those productions.

@MizukaS I honestly don't know about that. Ever since Tales of Xillia COT have somehow been able to get a bunch of voice actors located in Dallas in LA projects (Josh Grelle, Ian Sinclair, Monica Rial, Chris Patton and Joel Mcdonald to name a few). How they do it is beyond me honestly.

 5 Shout Outs!
Even if the game itself isn't anything too special it's pretty cool to see Chris Patton, Brittney Karbowski & Tia Ballard here not to mention another surprising appearance from Mick Wingert.

I agree. Really loved the mix of Texan talent in this dub.

 4 Shout Outs!
Woah, Chris Patton and Brittney Karbowski are in this game, that's amazing to see they are taking more role outside of Sentai Filmworks and Funimation. And good to see that Tia Ballard manages to enter an another Californian role since she was in Street Fighter V.

Mick Wingert!? This is totally going to be AWESOME!

@TrueMyriad Same. He was in SO V in the summer, but that was union at least. This is incredibly varied.

@TrueMyriad Yeah I totally thought that guy was union only. Nice little surprise!
said at 1:45 PM on Fri Nov 18 2016
@Unknownsage13 I was under that impression as well. Sometimes union actors tend to be a bit flexible with non-union game work and just go uncredited, but the fact that we learned this is Mick through Twitter and not by ear or an alias's resume (a la Eden Riegel) that would probably suggest (imo) that Mick isn't union or this game is union.

@SNaG I couldnt possibly imagine the latter happening, but Dave Fennoy who largely does union works, was in the SFV dub recently this year, & that was non-union.

@huzaifa_ahmed Agreed, the latter is super unlikely. XSEED games are typically the niche of Japanese game releases which probably wouldn't go union since they wouldn't be THAT profitable. Those're the only three options, so I wanted to outline them.

Still, fine by me, I like Mick Wingert and this cast is pretty diverse, so hope the direction is good.

@SNaG read an article XSeed posted recently about the cast. At one point they mention a conversation Kirk Thornton had with Brittany Karbowski. I'm gonna guess he's the director and he has a pretty good track record.

@Unknownsage13 His game direction is pretty spot-on, it seems, so I'm glad he went out of his way for such a varied cast. Should be fairly refreshing to listen to. Didn't think we'd get many Sentai-focused actors in game dubs outside of Okratron 5000, so I really like this.

@SNaG Makes that proposed LA FUNi studio such a delight to hear about ;)

If we're going to continue being as low-budget as possible, unifying the industry itself, is certainly a good start.

Chris Patton, Tia Ballard, and Brittany Karbowski!? Did they do part of the recording in Texas?
said at 11:21 PM on Fri Oct 21 2016
@Unknownsage13 They probably went to L.A and/or where invited to come and try for said role. It's happened before.

But yeah, this cast is pretty varied. Having Chris Patton, Tia Ballard, and Brittney Karbowski be in the same game with Ray Chase, Ed Bosco, and Mick Wingert? I'm down.

@SNaG Do you anything about the story? Tales of Zesteria really dissapointed me in that regard, though it was my first and only Tales so perhaps that's the usual tone for the series. If this one is a little more mature (like SMT for example) I might get it.

@Marakutanay Well, I know the last one is about... stripping people. So.... yeah.

@SNaG Thanks, I'll give it a try after Persona 5.

Awesome set of trailers are up: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4wYT0p0GyAW7TT68MKFAh9u-Czhr2Ffg

Kris Knigge of Twitter talked about some of the VAs that are cast and how there are over 180 roles. That's a lot... The dub makes this sound like I should get it.
