 1 Shout Out!
Christopher C Adams did a rather nice job as Jesse I'd say!

Kanako Irie was great as both Johan and Camula. It makes me sad she seems to have so few credits.

I actually think Christopher would be a decent Jesse voice had he not been directed to do a exaggerated Southern accent. I did find it humorous (especially as a Texan lol), but it made it hard to take his character that seriously.

@1dbad IIRC he lost the accent when he was under Yubel's influence. Did his performance there do anything for you?

Personally, I thought he did just as great a job as Kanako Irie at sounding villainous even without the "Supreme King" vocal filter he suddenly got like, halfway through his duel with Adrian I believe? (I didn't mind the filter at the same time either though)

@HylianBelmont Yes! I thought his performance was much better there, and more like what his Jesse would have been like in an uncut dub. Only thing that held it back was the scripting. (dub Yubel and Japanese Yubel's motives are worlds apart!)

Yeah, he did a great job at sounding villainous. The sudden filter was kind of random though. Not the worse thing in the world, but I think the dub tends to overuse it a bit haha.

@1dbad I guess they wanted to use it to imply that Jesse/Johan was being used in the way that Jaden was (Yubel in particular shares the same filter with all three of them) but it was odd how they weren't consistent with it from the beginning haha.

Either way. I liked Christopher's performance for what it was (even with the accent) but I did like him a lot more as Crow myself.

@HylianBelmont I liked how without it we could hear him better/it made it more mysterious, but adding a filter is a good way to make the possession more obvious. Plus, a filter for villains is a staple for the dub, really.

I liked it too, and I would have been interested hearing his performance in an uncut dub. I love his Crow as well.

@1dbad Crow's a pretty likable character in general really. And both Christopher C. Adams and Shintaro Asanuma really captured that IMO.

@HylianBelmont I find Crow really endearing too, and his voice in both versions is definitely part of that.
