In my opinion, this show is the best of the Unicron Trilogy. Although the continuity with Armada/Energon is a bit dodgy at times (almost better to just watch this as a completely separate series with no connection to Armada/Energon), the issues are rather minor.

The names and designs of the characters were unique and cool, and I dug the accents that certain characters got.

However, my biggest piece of praise comes from something that I only started to really think about a few days ago: the concept of Transformers leaving Cybertron in days of yore to colonize other worlds and then adapting to their new worlds. As an advanced race of shape-shifting alien robots who travel the stars, this is exactly how I feel things would play out. They adapt their culture, way of life, traditions to suit their new world. Over eons and eons, the Transformers' physical appearance even evolved. On a planet that's flat, barren and built especially for racing, why not change to become a slick sportscar? In a world as savage and dangerous as the Jungle Planet, you'd be forced to adapt to survive. A dump truck on the Jungle Planet? Pfft. You either become a rhinoceros or you die. Become bigger, stronger, faster and more ferocious than the flora and fauna that already inhabit such a geologically unstable world.

It's a concept that I would love to see done again (perhaps even better). Displays that Transformers aren't just generic machines that are built on an assembly line and POOF that's it. These are autonomous, techno-organic alien robots who live and breath and adapt.

@TylerMirage I have to agree with every single thing you said about this one. I have always felt it was the superior series in the Unicron trilogy!

"I think this series gets more flak than it deserves, solely based on the fact that it's part of the "dreaded Unicron Trilogy"."
