Back when Saturday Morning Cartoons weren't crap.

Would have been very cool if Peter Cullen voiced the Optimus Prime Hologram...anyone agree?

This show gave me nightmares as a kid.

You can't tell me those faces and thin, lean body designs were not intended to be creepy.

@TheLemsterPju Still have yet to watch the show, but as far as artwork impressions go.... yeah, they do look rather.... disturbing.

Just started watching this. Really not as bad s it sounded. I like that Cheetor gets to shine. I'm getting to the "controversial stuff" right now but I don't think I'll mind it. Writing isn't the best but what writing in any Transformers series is?

@pete Actually, Beast Machines probably has some of the best writing in the franchise. The biggest detriment to the series as a whole probably came from its relative darkness.

@Music Meister Eh...TFP's writing really isn't... For a single episode out of context? Sure, depending on the episode. For the show as an entire series from start to finish? Bleh...

@TylerMirage I saw some of the "controversial" stuff the day I wrote this or at least a day or two after and don't thin it was that bad. Sure there's plot holes with Beast Wars but Waspinator is comic relief so they brought hi back so fans could enjoy him one last time for 5 minutes. Still have to finish Season 1 though but I think the characterizaion and plot are good but would have less criticism if the Beast Wars writing team returned instead of having a new one. Not the worst example though cough* Energon cough*

@TylerMirage Unfortunately, I have to agree with that. They had so many cool things to work with in the show, but there were so many plot-points (like seriously, Silas and MECH were so pointless in the end that it hurt my brain) that just ended up dead in the water and characters killed off in stupid ways... I am overall pleased with TF Prime though. It has so many great performances, great animation, and "F*** YEAH!!!" moments that sorta make up for it.

It was a little disappointing in the long run, but I had plenty of fun watching it, so I can't complain too much.

@PsychicVoiceSpy Yeah, I enjoyed TFP as well, though not as much as I *should* have. I won't bother posting my full thoughts on TFP here... I'm pretty sure there's a forum somewhere here where I just let loose against TFP, ha ha. Summed up, TFP is basically "ball=dropped".
