I get a kick out of the way Chalk as Prime pronounces "Minicon". The second 'i' is 'eh' so he's like "My partner Minehcon!"

@TylerMirage
I literally cringed every time he said that in the clip. I was like, " It's minEEcon!!!!!"

What I never understood about the Unicron Trilogy was alk those crazy strong, grating metal filters they put on EVERY character.

This show was good, and had the potential to be even better than it came out, but those meddling Simpletons at Cartoon Network back then caused the series to be rushed, causing many animation and dialogue errors. Because of this, I confused Grindor for Sureshock, and vice versa. The final episode, however, had high quality animation all through. Especially with the action.

Although this series started off kind of slow, it definitely picked up as it went along. And man, did it PICK UP. Once you get over the constantly shifting animation quality or Mini-Cons changing names between episodes XD , it's an all right series.

Gave us some new characters (Sideways, Tidal Wave), some new interpretations of existing characters (Cyclonus, Wheeljack) and classic characters and was the next round of Ocean VAs getting a shot at the franchise.

It had some genuinely heart-tugging moments and the last chunk of the final season was pretty epic.

Out of "Robots in Disguise", "Armada", and "Energon", which of those do you hardcore fans recommend?

@Lpfan120 RiD. Armada is pretty bumpy quality wise and Energon is a mess of bad CGI and questionable writing.

@Lpfan120 Of those three? RID. Definitely RID.

Armada starts off slow but becomes pretty good (and dare I say great) in the final episodes. Energon starts off relatively strong but peeters out really quickly and then just nosedives into awfulness.

Well, I want to get into one of those Transformers shows from that time period. So I guess your recommendations are not limited to just those three

@Lpfan120 So you're not (for some reason) limited to only one of those three?

Yeah, I only said those three just so you would know what time period I was talkin about. (I really should've just said that from the beginning)

This... is a rather underrated series. Ok, a weak start in season 1, but it got better as it went along. Season 2 was good, and season 3 was brilliant.

The voice acting, top notch, but what do you expect from Ocean's actors? Optimus was well performed as was Megatron (and we need clips for these guys in this series, just saying XD) the human characters were good. Alexis went from annoying to charming, so... that's impressive. The one who stole the show though was Starscream. THIS is one of the best Starscreams I've ever seen, and he actually had a pair XD. REALLY complex character. I can't believe I nearly friggin' wept for him at one stage.

The downside to this series was the next gen after - TF: Energon anD Cyberton. OH GOD were those stupid! Even with good acting, stupid stories!

That said... this needs to be re aired. Though TF: Prime was the one that perfected the formula, Beast Wars, Robots in Disguise (when it was consistent, stupid writers) and of course, Armada, were the ones that truly revolutionised it all.

Yes of course I love G1, but it wasn't until season 2 and 3 when they started to really try to tell ANY SORT of story XD It was the 80's what did you expect?

Possibly the first series to have introduced me to the talented Oceans Group back in the early 00's! Many fond memories of this series and still a big fan of this wonderful cast!
