 1 Shout Out!
This show was just thought out so brilliantly and it got me thinking about some things. Like Furball, who was partially based on Sylvester and Penelope Pussycat. While he was silent more often than not (aside from the meows and other cat sounds) and seldom spoke, in a few, certain Looney Tunes and/or Merrie Melodies shorts, namely with Sylvester co-starring with Porky, those were the few instances in which Sylvester was seldom silent than not. I like the fact of how often either of the cats spoke or not was reversed. That's just an interesting thought I had and realized, and remembered when it came to those rare moments in which Furball actually did speak. Another thing is I wonder is if that ghost from one of the segments in the "Return Of The Acme Acre Zone" episode could be a successor and protege of the ghost from the "Jeepers Creepers" short. Because I think that would've been interesting to see too and that's just my theory. Marcia Martian was one of the very few Tiny Toons who had the least appearance and I wish there were more episodes featuring her. Another great thing about this show is some episodes being reminiscent of the theme of certain LL/MM shorts and they payed homages to them as well. Like the Hollywood Plucky episode, being reminiscent of Hollywood Steps Out, Daffy Duck In Hollywood, You Ought To Be In Pictures and like-minded featurettes. Hollywood Plucky was basically an update of featuring celebrity caricatures of the day like the shorts from the classic era, which were decades prior. Those are among the things that I find so great about this series and I wanted to point them about, and the parodies are a plus. I have several favorite episodes including the aforementioned "Return Of The Acme Acre Zone", Career Opport-toonities", "Sawdust And Toonsil", "Buster And Babs Go Hawaiian" to name a few. One of the most well-done cartoons of not only the '90s, but all time. It had potential, but I just think/feel that so much more could be done that wasn't and I wish it lasted a little longer.
