The CGI version is not bad, but I alway's loved the old version better. The Model Railway version of the series was my favorite, because in that version, all the engines looked so real and they would just have moving eyes, and clay faces that the producers would swap out there faces during production and change there faces to happy, sad or angry in the next scene. The Model version was better.

It's sad that Martin Sherman is not going to voice Thomas anymore after Season 18.... =(

@Anthonyiscool64 The Man Behind the Voice of the Title character Retiring. I sure hope whoever takes over (either an Existing Cast Member of Someone new to the Cast) will voice all of Sherman's characters. In fact, I think Season 18 will be the last of the CGI Series, before a Series Change again.

Sherman gave the Perfect Fitting Voice for his Characters. He even booked for doing Henry, but didn't manage to get it.

@CuriousUserX90 Right your are. I always loved the way how Sherman voiced Thomas. He makes him sound like a cool and young teenager.

@Anthonyiscool64 Hope that whoever takes over Sherman (probably an Existing Cast Member like William Hope or Someone new hired, like a Good Friend or Relative to Sherman) voices all the Characters he did, maybe even do a Voice where we could hardly tell that they've been recasted. But still, sorry it's had to come to the Man Behind the Title Character.

My favorite narrator is George Carlin. He did all of the character voices when I watched this show as a kid.

@Dogman15 I liked Alec Baldwin the best, because he actually gave the trains different voices. I feel like Ringo and George used the same voice for everyone.

I also remembered back when I was little. The show used to be filmed on a model railway from 1984 to 2008 until the show switch over into CGI animation.

 2 Shout Outs! [?]
My favorite narrator will alway's be George Carlin. Because when he narrated the show he does awesome voices. My second favorite is Ringo Starr, third favorite is Michael Brandon and least favorite is Alec Baldwin. All the narrators are great, but George Carlin will alway's be my number 1! ;)

@Anthonyiscool64 I agree completely. He was great, in this and in his comedy routines.
