Jeff sounds old now. Why the heck did they hire him? The seriously need someone like Joe Alaskey. I know like a billion people said that already, but SERIOUSLY!!!!!

I have never been big fan of Looney Tunes (or splaptick comedy in general), but this was AWESOME! Really sad that it got only two seasons. My favorite character, easily, is Lola and big reason why is Kirsten Wiig. She just cracks me up everytime she opens her mouth.

I think this is a really funny and enjoyable cartoon! I like the humor and the tone in this show and it does the trick of making me laugh! I don't get why people don't like it, yeah it has it's flaws but what cartoon show doesn't!? Ok so this is isn't like the old looney tunes, so what?? Go and watch the old looney cartons, there were hundreds of them and they were enjoyable just like this show is!

I like this show just as much as I loved the classic episodes. Though I do sometimes miss some of the characters getting bashed about & are completely fine later on. Now it's just they get hurt & stay that way through the rest of the episode. Other than missing that, this show rocks!!!

This show is just open to alternate interpetacion. If you like it its fine,i personally dont. Its main problem is that its boring. All of its episodes are generic, rehashed sitcom clishes that we have seen a thousand times before and never leave you wanting more.

The writers seem to have a really hard time making the classic looney tune characters personallitys work in this type of format so they come off as almost unreconiseble.

The characters range from okay to bland to mildly annoying, exept for ****ing lola who is one of the most annoying characters i have ever seen in cartoon history, just watching one episode with her in it is almost impossible.

The voice acting is a mixed bag

On one hand we have the return of Bob Bergen,Maurice LaMarche,Jim Cumming,June Foray and Billy west as Porky,Yosemite sam, granny and elmer fudd, and they as usual do a great performence

But then we get Jeff Bergman returnign as Bugs,Daffy,Sylvester and Tweety after a 20 year absence, and he cleary lost his talents, and makes them sound incredibly aged and unreconiseble.Seriously has the casting director of this show ever heard of Joe Alaskey?

Oh and Fred Armisen and Eric Bauza suck ass as speedy gonzales and marvin the martian.

And making witch hazel a sassy black woman and gossamer her 12 year old son is just ****ing stupid.

Although this show wasn't perfect, there were some memorable moments in this show that I enjoyed (y favorite being the Wizard song). Plus, this show did have some solid voice acting. Jeff did very good as Daffy (his Bugs wasn't THAT good, but was passable). Kristen really got into her character as Lola, and Fred is probably my favorite modern voice for Speedy Gonzales.

@Nightmare Crusher It's not just one person, but I see nearly EVERYONE who's watched the show never say ONE decent thing about it, and it REALLY irritates me! I've watched the show and I think it's good/funny, and people are blowing the flaws of it (some of which I understand/agree with) WAY out of proportion. Not just on this site, but everywhere else, too!

I mean, come on. Even if it's that bad, there's got to be things FAR worse that others ignore.

@DreamMaster08X Wow, just calm down...

First off, I sorta agree that this show is getting quite a bit more hate than I expected, but after watching the finale, I can at least say that (most of) the criticism is justified. Nobody's worked up about it at all, they're just stating their opinion, like I always do in voice compares; some people just don't agree, hence why they'd get into another heated argument for no good reason at all.

Myself, I've grown up watching Looney Toons shows as a kid but I've seen a few eps of this and it was not my cup of tea.

@pokemastanumba1 I understand that, but that doesn't mean that other people AREN'T getting worked up about this. I mean, to claim that you don't like something is never wrong; my problem is the people that are saying that a part of something DESTROYED that entire thing in the process, I feel, is just MUCH too mean-spirited, especially concerning this show.

I got heated, too, I know. But everyone has driven me off the brink of sanity over something so trivial that has me shaking my head thinking "I don't want to live on this planet anymore". And that seldom has EVER happened to me with a minor subject.

@DreamMaster08X I don't see what the big deal is. Again, I haven't seen enough of the show to give it a fair review, but based on others' comments and opinions, I can understand why they'd say "this show ruined my childhood" or things like that. I personally didn't like what I've seen of this show, though I do feel the same way about other reboots.

@pokemastanumba1 I would say the same thing about the live-action Transformers movies, but instead of whining and moaning about how it ruined the franchise, I've learned to just ignore it and move on. I wish more people could just let it go and simply not care. I mean, I think there were more things in the Bayformers films that give Transformers in general a bad name way more than the things that the Looney Toons Show did to give the original shorts a bad name.

It's okay if you don't like a reboot (I don't with a couple of them), but if you're going to complain because 'it's not the original' or 'EXACTLY like the original', it honestly makes you seem self-righteous. THAT'S the trait that ticks me off.

@DreamMaster08X I haven't really seen any of the show, but a couple of the characters looked irritating from the clips I saw, I don't like Daffy's voice that much, and the animation looks kinda garish and unpleasant to me. That's all I really have to say about it. I haven't seen enough of it to pass judgement, but it does look like it would generally annoy me and I feel no compelling reason to watch it.

Plus, I think there are more creative ways they could have updated the Looney Tunes successfully instead of turning it into as much of a typical sitcom as they seem to have. Like I said, I don't know enough about the show to critique it, but those are just my thoughts.

CatsTuxedo (Moderator)
said at 4:13 AM on Mon Jul 2 2012
@RNB Because they know they can't live up to what Jones, Clampett, McKimson, etc. could do in the past, so they just did the next best thing they could come up with and made it a sitcom. That's my theory, anyway.

@RNB We do. The thing is we're not being rigid, stubborn whiners about it. If you so insistent on locking yourself in the past and keeping yourself safe from change and new things, there's plenty of collector's DVDs out there to hold you over. Nobody's going to take those away from you, so stop complaining about things that you have the choice of not subjecting yourself to.

@RNB Let's put this way. Time have canged this isn't the 40's and 50's and while they co could pull it of in the 90's and 2000's when they went on hiatus for five years Warner Bros. needed a way to reintroduce them and what better way than to change their antics to make them kid friendly so this generation can watch both the classics and the new version and grow up with them like all the past generations did. Even in the 80's and 90's the classics were censored. Yes some were racist but some were too violent for children as back in the 40's and 50's they weren't aimed at children as opposed to now. The days of dynamite exploding, anvil dropping, grand piano falling, and guns being aimed at blank range and exploding in Daffy's face are gone. Wile they're classic time to move on. You can either accept and enjoy the fact that they're back or go cry in a corner. A good 23 like this show so that makes it 23 to 1.
pete
said at 3:15 PM on Tue Oct 30 2012
@CatsTuxedo In reply to your original comment. There were shorts(not referring to the Flash ones) released after Back In Action that were pretty close to the classics some were violent(Sylvester and Sweety) while others were just good(Bugs and Daffy) and they were going to air but since Back In Action they didn't air on tv. Or for a better explanation see my comment to the original poster.

This show is pretty hit and miss, but when they hit, they hit really good! When the jokes in this show work, they get some real good laugh out loud moments. This is a return to Looney Tunes comedy, something that has been severely lacking since WB released the completely overrated, overblown Space Jam nonsense. Definitely give it a look at. Lola Bunny in this show is a hilarious riot, and has quickly become my favorite character.
