Such a classic show.

The stories and the pacing were quite a mess, but I still enjoyed the show. It had a lot of memorable heroes and villains and a good episode count.

Best opening theme too, at least in my opinion.

My favourite Spiderman tv series of all time. Sure the voice acting might not be brilliant but this was the longest running 1. Not 2 mention the great story lines. Never got a good chance 2 watch it when I was young but when it used 2 be on Disney XD I recorded it almost all the time but Disney never showed very many of the episodes because they missed a lot of them out. It started 2 bug me a little bit so I wanted the set for Christmas (2012). I watched all the episodes within a week, in fact I watched the entire final season in 1 day (didn't get bored somehow). So 2 me, Seasons 1-3 were brilliant while Season 4 & Episodes 1-6 of Season 5 were ok but the remainder of Season 5 sucked so bad, mainly because of the ending in "Return of Hydroman: Part 1" & I thought all the Spidermen from different dimensions ruined it. My favourite voice in the series has 2 be Roscoe Lee Browne as the Kingpin but I also think that character got stupid as each season went on as he started off as pretty smart but kept on getting tricked a lot & I couldn't believe he tried 2 grab Electro.

I have to agree with some of the complaints, but even though this show is messy, it's still solid entertainment from what I've seen of it. The writing, as far as just coming up with scenarios for an episode, is fine and usually exciting enough. The animation is a little cheap looking at times but it certainly gets the job done and is by no means unwatchable. The music is pretty decent, the theme song is fairly cool, and the voice acting is alright. It may be corny, but at least it's more than competent.

Christopher Daniel Barnes is neither bad, or amazing as Spider-Man, but to be fair, the dialogue he has in the show, especially in most scenes involving the romance, is pretty darn bad. He's a bit inconsistent, but I didn't find anything about his acting to be that bad at all.

It's not a great show, but it's solid entertainment in a lot of episodes and I don't see what some people find so cringe-worthy about it. Plus, some of the sound effects, especially the web-shooters, are pretty memorable and cool.

In hindsight I think the big problem with this show is the pacing. Way too much happens way too fast. You know how when you wake up music can sound faster, that's exactly what this show is like.

@Nightmare Crusher You know, you described exactly what it felt like for me to watch episodes of Transformers G1.

@PsychicVoiceSpy And by this I mean that it was just too hard for me to keep up with it and stay interested.

I don't like most of the voice acting from this show.

@coolgeek176 I am going to retract that statement. I recently rewatched parts of the show and some of the voice acting I thought was bad is okay.

I loved this show as a kid and I was ecstatic to see it on Netflix Instant Queue.

After watching it, though, I found that the show wasn't quite as good as I remembered. It's definitely a show that hasn't aged especially well. The dialogue is lame, it throws a lot at you and expects you to catch it all, and the storyline is just plain confusing.

While it is a pleasant throwback to my childhood, my mind has accepted that this is a mediocre show. Spectacular Spider-Man is the strongest Spidey cartoon to me.
