Sean Schemmel was a bit too forced and over the top at times here: I preferred him as Archie over Cyrus, honestly.

His Generations VA is probably the only one I've preferred over an Anime and/or Origins VA so far in that Series, aside from Looker: his performance was more natural, and unlike many others so far, he gave actual weight to his performance, as well as a mysterious, intimidating feeling.

@WrightWay I liked Sean's Cyrus better than his Archie, but I feel his voice was best for Grings Kodai. And I do agree that his Cyrus was a bit forced at times. I still preferred it to Kenta Miyake, though.

Whoever voiced him in Generations is the best voice for Cyrus to date. He nailed it and came closest to how I imagine Cyrus sounding in the games.

I prefer his Archie over his Cyrus myself since it was a bit more unique to me, but I can see your standpoint as well.

I'd agree with you on the Generations VA, though: I haven't liked a majority of the performances in its dub so far, but his (some say it's Michael Sorich?) is easily one of the standouts from it.

 3 Shout Outs!
Ah, my user namesake! Sean Schemmel was good in this role, but when playing the games I imagine Peter Jessop or Corey Burton nailing the character better.

@Galactic_Cyrus Cyrus is actually one of my personal favorite Sean Schemmel roles. :o) The Team Galactic episodes were a standout from the DP series.

@pokemastanumba1 I did love that Sean gave Cyrus a distinct sounding voice and performed the character's madness really well. The Team Galactic episodes...they varied for me, though I HATED the way the arc ended.

@Galactic_Cyrus I actually imagined Cyrus having a voice similar to Paul St. Peter's Xemnas.

@NoxiousSludge That could work too, though his delivery would probably be less melodramatic than Xemnas'.
