 2 Shout Outs!
Have just finished the show minutes ago (I marathoned the whole second half in basically one sitting), I have this to say.

I love Vash the Stampede.
I like Kaneda Shotaro.
I like Sanada Yukimura.
I've heard Ichigo's cool.
Nero is pretty cool as well.

But I have to say, I think Yu Narukami (and Adachi too, but mostly Yu) might be Johnny Yong Bosch's best role. A big part of that might be the game/show's writing and the excellent job the show did to flesh out and solidify what was originally a mostly silent player-controlled protagonist. Unlike every other adaptation of a choice-laden visual novel-style game, where the protagonist is either made to pick one specific path from the game as his personality, or just lacks personality altogether, P4 The Animation's Yu combines aspects of every choice path the player could make into a super interesting and engaging character, and Bosch ties it all together perfectly with his perfect deadpan delivery of every line (up until the more emotional moments of the final episodes, which are also delivered well).

@BlueScarabGuy Yeah I agree completely. Johnny really got to show his range with Adachi and Yu.

I hate that bear... I hate everything about him. His voice is annoying, his character design is annoying, his personality is annoying, his non-stop bear related puns are annoying. Who thought up this mass of pure, unholy awful? He drags down EVERY single scene he is in.
Seriously, why do the girls keep letting that abomination to God and nature get away with his sickening sexual advances on them, instead of hitting his eyes open and point blank macing them, followed by a tazer to to the spinal column?

Have to give Sentai filmworks credit for licensing this title and allowing a studio in L.A to record the English audio for it. Does anyone know how much time did the recording studio in having to find a replacement for Troy Baker as Kanji Tatsumi?

I heard something about Troy Baker not returning as Kanji for the second half of the series. What's up with that?

@PurpleWarrior13 Really? Where'd you hear that? Troy Baker is awesome as Kanji; it's one of his best roles. It'd really be a shame if that was true, especially since they managed to get him for the first half. To have a voice switch in the middle of the series would be jarring.

@PurpleWarrior13 Found a source for it. Really sucks that we lost Troy (though I'm happy for him, since it's because he's on his honeymoon), but I am curious as to how Matthew Mercer does in the role.

So, now only half of the party members have their VAs from the PS2 game. Shame things couldn't be more consistent, though clearly it was all out of Sentai's control.

During a panel, Troy Baker said that he made the suggestion for Matthew Mercer to take the role of Kanji Tatsumi. An excellent choice it turned out to be.

@SLEDGERAID Only in the show (I've listened to the clip and it's obviously her, though she's not credited). The identity of who did her voice in the game is still a mystery.

@NCZ AW so the mystery VA didnt reprise her role!? THATS BOOTY!!!!! how did she sound or what episode number did she appear if I may ask?

@SLEDGERAID Yeah, it is pretty BS. Here's a clip with Naoto in it.

@NCZ Its kinda ironic that Atlus doesn't want us to know who voiced Naoto in Persona 4 and Arena.

Although my guess is Michelle Ruff because she kinda did sound like Rukia, it is still a mystery on who voiced her.

@Mikel I don't think it's Michelle; her voice is pretty distinctive and Naoto sounds too husky to be her.

@NCZ If you mean the original game, it's Susan Dalian. If you're talking about arena, yeah no idea. Otherwise, the original actress was Susan Dalia.

@Soldierkei Thing is, we all thought that at first, but people from Atlus said that it's not.

Naoto's English VA is uncredited. Atlus, you REALLY don't want us to know who it is, do you?

@NCZ I remember that when Sentai first announced the cast was returning, they said Teddie's VA was unavailable. Assuming things haven't changed since then, it seems likely Sam Riegel will be playing him.
