Considering the fact I understand how dubs worked, the whole English cast has done an excellent job with their performances. Especially with several of them voicing multiple characters. They may not sound similar to Japanese, but their acting is till just as great. Thank you guys for staying committed to the series when possible.

@Matrix92 I agree that Naruto has really strong dub; they make good use of people with range like Kirk, Kyle and Steve, all of them do fine job distinguishin all of their characters.

I must say, it's really impressive how consistent (for the most part) the dub cast has managed to remain even after all these years. It really shows in the performances too. I've always found Naruto to have an especially good dub, but the performances have been even more incredible with Shippuden.
Now that Shippuden is FINALLY ending, I do plan to start catching up on it at some point. I will be skipping all of the filler though, or at least most of it.

I would absolutely love to see John Dimaggio or Corey Burton cast in the Shippuden dub before its run is over but the realistic chance of that occurring is rather slim considering they're probably far to expensive to hire for an anime dub. Jamie Simone is always very picky when it comes to casting for anime dubs which can work for a dub and against it. If there was any casting director/voice director in this medium that could make such casting calls possible it would indeed be Jamie Simone. If such dream casting ever did come into fruition for the Shippuden dub you can bet your ass that John and Corey would knock it out of the park.

Started out rather slow and choppy, but it quickly picked up the pace after the Sasori arc.

No amount of "Naruto is supposed to sound like that because he is a man child" is enough justification to mirror the JP version's decision to keep using Junko Takeuchi, which, obviously worked for Japan, but not for the US. If there is a type of voice that I think sounds similar to Naruto retaining the same VA throughout the entirety of the series, it's honestly Masako Nozawa as Goku.

While it is common for Japan to cast women as older males, mirroring such casting choices in the US does not achieve the same effect. ANN has a report that details on this very topic, and I highly recommend other members here to read it.
