At first it was humorous for the pop culture references and off color humor, but it's become tedious. But every now and again, I'll run into a skit that I love. ThunderLOL Cats and Once Upon a Toon were really memorable.

They have yet to parody Rarity.

I actually enjoy this show, it's better than Robot CHicken even if they have a joke that's really stupid

I hate this show

it's like if Robot Chicken (a show that i also despise but i digress) tried to cater to younger audiances, but while Robot Chicken had the Star Wars Specials which i laphed at, this show has never even gotten a chuckle out of me

it's a shame that so many very talented people worked on this show and it turned out to be an unfunny mess of a show that should never have been greenlighted

I don't get it... if Grey DeLisle is a main cast member, then why didn't she voice Daphne? Tara Strong and Matthew Lillard reprised their roles!

@PurpleWarrior13 Because these aren’t official appearances for the characters, they are parodies. She probably didn’t want to make fun of her own character. Just like Mindy Cohn didn’t voice Velma in this and Frank Welker didn’t voice Fred and Scooby. I applaud them for that.

@LaeScoobyFan Mindy Cohn and Frank Welker aren't cast members on the show (which has a very small voice pool). Grey is. If Matthew Lillard could reprise his role of Shaggy (and he's not even a regular), and Tara Strong could voice Bubbles, Twilight Sparkle, and a few other of her characters, then I can't see how Grey couldn't voice Daphne. I don't think it involved "not wanting to make fun of her character".

@PurpleWarrior13 I know Mindy Cohn and Frank Welker aren't cast members on the show, I was just saying, they didn't voice their characters either. Grey DeLise's reason for not voicing Daphne would be the same as their reason. If it's not that this is a parody and that they don't want to make fun of their own character, I don't know what else it would be because they all still voice their characters in official appearances. Also, I think Bubbles and Twilight Sparkle are the only two characters of Tara's that she "reprised" so far.

@LaeScoobyFan I know this isn't official. It's kinda a "why not?" moment. You know what I'm saying? I highly doubt it was Grey's decision anyway. Maybe Rachel Ramras worked better for what they were doing??? Who knows?

And to be fair, those are the only characters that Tara has ever voiced that have appeared on the show. :P

@PurpleWarrior13 I understand why you would question why Grey didn't voice Daphne. But I disagree with you when you say that it probably wasn't Grey's decision. If they want the show to be the best it can be, why wouldn't they have asked her? She would have been better and have the more recognizable voice for the part. (I would assume that they would have asked Mindy Cohn and Frank Welker too for the same reason (they asked Matthew Lillard)). Why don't you think the reason is that she (they) didn't want to make fun of her (their) own character? I would think that that's the reason why any voice actor wouldn't want to voice their character in a parody. It's kind of like, she is okay with the parody of other characters, but she's not going to take it that far.

@LaeScoobyFan Usually these things aren't the voice actors' decisions. Usually, a voice actor gets called in, and they do the work. The parody wasn't too extreme, and they probably got Matthew Lillard to voice Shaggy because his voice is pretty recognizable. It's possible it may have not even crossed their minds to use her.

@PurpleWarrior13 So are you saying Grey probably wasn't even asked? If so, I guess you answered your own question. It just seems ridiculous to me that they wouldn't have even thought to ask her though. She is a cast mamber on the show and her voice would have been recognizable as Daphne.

MAD is essentially the family version of Robot Chicken... if anything. Personally, I found it to be alright for the first couple of episodes, but the humor immediately got repetitive and all that jazz later on; making me have a bit of hatred for this show.

I have to admit this, though: one of the funniest MAD skits was when Thundera was being invaded by internet memes. I do believe that's an episode from the second season, if I'm right... :3

The first season followed a pretty good episode to really bad episode pattern but the second season was more consistent in my opinion. Its sort of like a treasure hunt trying to find the good skits but I feel they are worth it
