As I am watching this recently(most of my exposure were to... Video games... like every other long anime at the time)

I love Rumiko Takahashi's character design and they translate to animation very well especially this with it's good animation with very nice colours especially during the cel animation days which had one of the best quality which sadly we won't see anymore

As for voice acting I've been shifting between Japanese and dub, I had heard the Animax dub which was of varying quality, Kagome's voice is quite good but Miroku eh... the Ocean dub was better later on as the earlier episodes had very wooden acting too while the Japanese dub is very consistent

Got to be honest, I do not understand the appeal of this series. The relationship between Inuyasha and Kagome has these really uncomfortable, abusive implications that I just can not get behind.

@Nightmare Crusher Eh, it's on Netflix, so I might as well watch it through. Definitely worth it for the stellar Ocean Group cast IMO.

The Japanese is obviously good as well, Toshiyuki Morikawa, Hoko Kuwashima., & Kappei Yamaguchi FTW

 4 Shout Outs!
Over the course of the last month I spent it giving Inuyasha a proper re-watch from the beginning to The Final Act finale + the 4 movies and I still love this series even after all this time.

I know it's not perfect but this was my first not-kiddie anime, one of my gateway anime and I love the character relationship dynamics everyone in this show had. The fight scenes are cool, the comedy makes me laugh hard and the OST is fantastic.

The English dub for the series is still one of my all time favourite dubs. Richard Ian Cox, Moneca Stori, Kelly Sheridan, Kirby Morrow, Paul Dobson, Willow Johnson, David Kaye, Don Brown, Scott McNeil and everyone else in this dub were superb.

Karl Willems is one of the best ADR directors of all time and it shows, even after a decade later it held up extremely well.

 5 Shout Outs!
A huge reason I'm an anime fan today. It had a great cast, awesome music and a perfect English dub.

One of my favorites! I love shows where the chicks are just as bad a$$ as the dudes!
