 1 Shout Out!
It's interesting to note that while Wally Burr didn't play Raoh in the Manga Entertainment dub of the series, he did play the role in the dub of the movie.

If he had been able to get the Sunbow voice actors to dub the show, I can actually imagine Peter Cullen playing Souther since he could provide a sound closer to Banjo Ginga's rendition.

Man I wish Funimation, Viz Media, or Sentai Filmworks would dub this series because it does a good cast

@batcool I'd personally Want to See NYAV Post do a Completed Dub For this.

Marc Thompson would be a Perfect fit for Kenshiro.

@EastonFection It actually did get an obscure one from William Winckler Productions.

It...didn't turn out very good.

 5 Shout Outs!
To this day, Fist of the North Star is still one of my utmost favourite anime shows to watch.

30 years on, and it still amazes me with its badass martial arts action and the emotional/tragic aspects too.

A shame that the English dub was cancelled after the 36th episode. The dub (IMO) had some great and memorable performances.

If you enjoy Jojo's Bizarre Adventures, then I'm sure you will love this just as well.

@Fulgore2005 I've heard clips of the TV show dub, and while I haven't seen it yet, I can agree that the dub sounds a lot smoother and less robotic than the Streamline dub. The performances have a lot more life to them and sound like they're trying. I don't know if I'd call it anything outstanding, but the series dub sounded fine to me.

The dub only got about as far as 36 episodes? That stinks. Hopefully this is better than the movie; that gave me a bad impression of "Fist of the North Star".

@JTurner The anime is better than the film IMO. the stories and the characters are better flashed out. And for a show filled with martial arts, it can be pretty emotional too.

@Fulgore2005 It seems like a lot of fans of the show dislike the dub - typical fandom hatred hype.

I wish it were completed too. I think a redub would be more likely than a continuation of it at this point (especially since Gary Dubin's gone, and quite a few cast members have moved on from dubbing), but who knows.
