Fun Fact: Every one of these characters has a part in Fairy Tail.
(Fairy Tail is the greatest I totally recommend it) : )

I just finished marathoning Deadman Wonderland it was overall a decent anime that had a few cool moments here and there but honestly its nothing I would buy and add to the collection unless I could find it for a rather cheap price. Now moving on to the English Dub itself I found it to be a rather average dub that never really reached the level of quality that I was hoping to see. Funimation for some reason or another decided to fill the dub with some of the most absurd profanity that I've ever seen in an English Dub granted some of it at first can be amusing but it overstays its welcome very quickly. The English dialogue can range from being somewhat intelligent to trying way to hard to sound hip and modern constantly using internet lingo like "noob" or "uber"(those words far to moronic). Patrick Seitz's Crow was excellent easily the best character in the show and the most impressive vocal performance from the English Dub. Eric Vale's Tsunenaga Tamaki was fairly solid & Colleen Clinkenbeard's Makina was solid as well. Greg Ayres and Monica Rial were pretty average in there roles but gave respectable performances. I liked Ryan Reynolds II as the Mockingbird and new comer Lee Murphy was very memorable in episode two as Kouzuji.Aaron Dismuke,Leah Clark, Dave Trosko ,R Bruce Elliott and others were pretty solid.
I found the ending to be quite lackluster it would of most likely been vastly better if it had another dozen episodes to build its characters and world more but at the moment the chances of a second season aren't on the horizon.

@IAMTHEVASTUNIVERSE it would make your overall rating alot more understandable if you actually read the manga of deadman wonderland because the anime and the manga have some difference especially the locker room scene in the beginning episodes and the manga answers more mystery questions so give it a shot.

@Kenshin_san I've read a bit of the manga and it has the same essence and feel of the anime. The characters still aren't all that interesting but it was a decent read the last chapter is coming out in a few months but I still find the anime to be severely lacking in terms of having an actual good story to tell and the manga isn't much better in the storytelling department. Deadman Wonderland has the most ridiculous Funimation script in recent years the amount of absurd profanity in the script was baffling.

i disagree. i find the story, while outrageously unrealistic, follows a set path of survival once set in motion. sure, originally, youre like, the hell is going on, but once plot has been laid down, its all about fight to survive, with the mysterious government leading them on. at first its about surviving, but once the story is going more, who would comply with mindless killing for the fun of others. it becomes a story of rebellion and stopping the corrupt minds that all of us have inside.

It would be great if Funimation's July announcements are about the English dub of Deadman Wonderland.I've been curious about the anime for sometime now and I've purposely waited to watch the anime until it receives a proper English dub..many online believe that it will be released on bluray in the early part of fall.
