My number 1 personal favorite anime series of all time and the best english dub of all time!!

Wonder why English dub anime voice veterans, Richard Epcar, Dave Mallow, Tony Oliver, Lex Lang, Doug Erholtz and Kate Higgins didn't voice any characters in this great anime series?

@numbuh34 I'm pretty sure in Higgins and Erholtz's case they didn't do voice acting until the 2000's (which also I'm not sure when the dub was done).

Epcar, Mallow, Oliver and Lang have all done work for Animaze so they were probably busy with some other work or had scheduling conflicts.

@RetroPokeFan I'm guessing the same thing with Philence Sampler?

@RetroPokeFan That makes sense. They were able to be voice characters in Watanabe's second anime Samurai Champloo. I still wished they did voice some characters in Cowboy Bebop

One of the best dubs of all time. Steve Blum is simply perfect as Spike Spiegel.

So this is the anime that WatchMojo claimed had the greatest dub of all time... that being said I think I'll try it out, but then again this is coming from the same idiots who claimed that titans were the scariest monsters in all of anime...so is it any good?

@Soul-dragonto be fair watchmojo is a hit and miss in their latest dubbed anime of all time videothey ranked the dbz dub the greates of all time bt db has better dubs than this.

but the bepop dub is great worth checking out

@Soul-dragon I wouldn't take what Watchmojo says at face value. The choices on those lists are voted by the users/viewers on YouTube. There is already some bias there. Also they did another list regarding best anime dubs & they put the FUNimation dub of Dragonball Z at number 1. Like really? Lol.

@Soul-dragon Plus they also had Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam on that other list. Now I personally haven't seen any of the Gundam series from before the 90's so I can't judge on that one myself, but the comments on it's page on this website alone definitely bring question as to if it deserves to be considered one of the best dubs. Let alone one of the best dubs in the Gundam franchise.

I finally decided to sit down and start watching Bebop all the way through for the first time. This show is unbelievably engrossing. It's also a real treat picking out so many voices I recognize. Just as an example, Douglas Lee was in the episode I just finished.

I just watched a bonus feature on the recent dvd/Blu-ray set. I figured the cast would talk about who they voice, say how they did it, and that would be a half-hour of content. Boy, was I wrong. I sat for an hour and thirty minutes listening to how much the show has impacted everyone, how much the voice actors loved it, and how much the show is worth. They went on to discuss the late casting director and the script writer, going into these details of the show and I had to step back and say Cowboy Bebop is deeper than just its narrative.

I have a question, where did you get September 14, 1999 as the release date? All I'm seeing is April 4, 2000. I'm pretty sure this is the accurate release date.

One of the finest dubs produced. I really do wish some of the old L.A talent didn't just kind of fade away. Skip Stellrecht was fantastic as Vicious.

I just finished watching the series again. I watched it with my dad because the intro made him think of Johnny Quest ( the moment when it shows spike ship flying ). Also the first time I watched it through with the dub which was great.
