From what I've seen so far, this show is looking to be very promising.

So this has been off to a good start, I think. I really appreciate that the show is able to be moody and serious without feeling grimdark -- it wears its sense of humor and love of language on its sleeve (chock that up to Warren Ellis)

I think my only real issue is that sometimes the animation is... not great sometimes. They step it up for the action scenes of course, but there's a lot in the first episode that's noticeably stiff. Which is a shame, because the show looks great otherwise

You know, it's not terribly difficult every once in a while to come across a video game adaptation that's actually rather good; case in point, Street Fighter II. With that being said, however, one is bound to discover a work that ranges from mediocre to simply awful more often than not - which both Slap-up Party: Arad Senki and Power Stone can attest to.

Directed by Sam Deats, I think the new Castlevania show here a rare example of a vga that surpasses merely being 'good'. Though technically it isn't finished yet, what *has* been showcased is nothing short of potent. Also one need not be familiar with the franchise itself to get hooked concerning what the cartoon has to offer. While the animation quality falls prey to awkwardness at points and the pacing is inconsistent, in this case the pros are outweighing the cons. Character designs from the source material have made a nice transition, the voice acting sounds marvelous, dialogue doesn't seem too forced all things considered, and the musical score suits the overall tone of this project nicely.

I'll most certainly continue to keep an eye and ear out for Season 2. Hopefully we can expect more characters to enter the fold, improvements in the animation aspect, personalities getting fleshed out, and umm... the unlikely duo of Christopher Bee and Fred Fuchs to rise from their graves.

This new Castlevania series, with the direction it is currently going in, has definitely peaked my interest in the franchise; where there wasn't much from me before. I'll certainly give it a watch, if I can.

I hope more characters will be introduced in season 2, and added to voice compares for sure!

This series was fantastic. I would have loved for it to be longer though.

Makes me hope there's gonna be a second season.

There will be. It was announced before the show premiered, and it will be twice as long (8 episodes). Long wait but I'm sure it'll be worth it!

As someone who's never been into Castlevania, I find this series to be entertaining and very good. Voice acting is superb. I highly recommend it.

Yeah, I watched it yesterday and it was pretty dang good. Definitely not quite the whole picture, but off to a great start. Loved the way they delved more into the lore and character interactions.

I also want to say...

Trevor: "I need beer."
Sypha: "I could pee in a bucket and tell him it's beer."

I almost spat my drink out when I heard that.

Oh some of the lines were absolutely fantastic, that being an instant favorite. The next season is 8 episodes, I think, so I hope it's not too long before we get it.

Ha, the Japanese title is pulling a Resident Evil 7. Its full title is "Akumajou Dracula - Castlevania".

What a surprising switcheroo though. Okiayu is playing Trevor and not Alucard?

Maybe they want to do something different for a change? IDK
