Looks like Funimation got the license to the new series, the Clear Card arc. One would probably wonder if they're gonna have the VAs that voiced the CCS characters in Tsubasa to reprise their roles, OR go for a brand new cast. I would be okay with it either way, but Monica Rial is my #1 choice as Sakura, tbh.

@MizukaS looking how funimation are right now. I think they going to it themselves. I highly think that because what @1dbad said there 2 dub but yet neither of them satisfies the biggest fan of this series. Because LA uncut only dub second movie. While the series and first still have the backlash cut Canadian dub.

@MadDude657 also that they are simuldubbing this new series as well so they need to be fast.

I mean, I'm pretty sure Funimation is using their own in house cast. I just wanna know if they are going to let the VAs that voiced the CCS characters' counterparts in Tsubasa reprise their roles, or use other VAs in their pool, that's all.

I would not mind if a Vancouver or other Canadian country were able to get VAs to redux Cardcaptor Sakura. From what I've heard the Animax dub has some undubbed lines in their version or broadcasts and does sound outdated, not to mention is not uncut as advertised, at least on the Blu Rays and DVDs. But, if they were able to do a great job, I would be all for it.

We have two English dubs of the series, but neither completely satisfies. It's a shame the uncut dub wasn't with the movie's LA cast.

to be honest this dub is very outdated but if they let Ocean Vancouver give them another chance with new anime series coming out this can be big improvement. Like look at bad dubs like original DBZ Funi, hellsing and yogioh but now look at DBZ Kai, hellsing ultimate and yugioh dark side of dimensions and see how the same actors/actress improved over time. Same thing can go for this if there give them a chance to redo there work. And besides it's bad enough that Vancouver doesn't get a lot anime to work on and funi screw them over with the shakugan no shana series also there Kai dub being cancelled. But with gintama and would trigger they may be light of hope.

@MadDude657 I love a lot of Vancouver VAs, so I would be down for hearing them get a second shot. I want more Canadian dubs out there. And I think fans would be willing to give them a chance so long as they did the dub uncut this time around.

@1dbad I wish whatever company that holds the rights to CCS here would maybe try what FUNimation did for their redub of "Vision of Escaflowne" and try crowdfunding as a way to see if a redub would be financially sound.

 4 Shout Outs!
Has anyone noticed that all three Ed, Edd, and Eddy voice in the dub?!

Heard both the dubs, to be honest I prefer the Animax dub voices over Nelvana, they are a bit stiff but their voices are okay enough(and not as bad as their Blue Dragon and Inuyasha dub) and it didn't have the edits Nelvana had

@HienFan I haven't watched this show, but out of curiosity I checked out a comparison.

To me, the Ocean voices definitely have better voice acting quality. But Animax at least is uncut and has the characters actually sound more like little girl voices rather than sounding more like grown women. It's probably an above average dub for Animax standards, compared to other samples I heard of dubs they did. Still suffers from flat performances at times.

Maybe my standards have been skewed on dubbing since seeing Speedy's dub of DBZ, but the Animax dub isn't really bad. Far from the best dub, but not as bad as many people make it out to be. The main problem pretty much stems from the fact that practically all the characters are voiced by the same people.

Keep in mind, this is the opinion of someone without nostalgia bias on this series.

@whyofbladez Gah Speedy DBZ don't get me on their Sailor Moon dub...

Another thing about Animax dubs is it seem to have a lot microphone issue the voice actors at least tried to sound different from one role to another but it's kinda uneven

I was wondering why this page has cast members who only appear in the second movie, and now I think I know why: it seems this page includes information from the TV show AND the movies.

@immblueversion that might be the case. this page was originally created on BTVA version 1 when there wasn't a movies section.

can you make a forum thread indicating which ones are the mistakes? thanks

@Foxwolf Sorry I took so long. It would appear that everything has been sorted out, save a few movie-exclusive characters.

@thomwim True. I don't think they are bad. Sakura is the same as the Japanese, just pronounced differentl I like the name 'Madison' too
