l loved this show. It was amazing! So many cool characters! To bad Cartoon Network made it fail. They barely advertised it and made it come on early in the morning. They wanted it to fail.
It makes me depressed that this show was slipped under the rug wile Teen Titans Go! continued to get advert after advert.
I miss this show. So much potential...wasted.

I wanted to know what Two-Face was going to look like. I looked to see if there was any concept art, but didn't find anything. If someone has I'd like to see it.
said at 2:20 PM on Thu Oct 30 2014
@Polyester Funk I doubt there's much out in terms of concept art beyond Shane Glines's stuff. And yes, I was curious how he'd look as well.

Good news is that Toonami airing the rest of the episodes!!! The bad news is, they're placed at a 3 AM TIME SLOT!!!!

@DravenRoth994 Technically, 2:30am :P

I'm surprised a lot of people have waited until now to see them.

What I'm gonna miss most about this show is their sassy Batman.

@Music Meister Conroy was sassy in the DCAU.

Harvey Dent, Deathstroke, Man-Bat & Killer Croc were introduced! Its great.
said at 9:20 AM on Mon May 19 2014
@MerlynTheGreat This show's Killer Croc is actually one of the favorites.

Deathstroke here was also cool after the disappointment that was Son of Batman's Deathstroke.

Thundercars, Sym-Bionic Titan, Green Lantern, Young Justice, and now the goddamn Batman. What the hell is up with CN?
said at 2:26 PM on Fri Apr 18 2014
@PurpleWarrior13 It's OK. The show is coming back on Toonami. Also, Snyder is gone.

Not to mention the entire series is out on Amazon UK's Instant Video service.
said at 8:34 AM on Sat Apr 19 2014
@D.A.V.E. I know about all of that, and while I love Toonami, canceling the show and dumping it over there without letting it finish it's run on Cartoon Network is pretty disgraceful.
said at 2:34 PM on Tue Oct 28 2014
@PurpleWarrior13 *Thundercats. I believe the team called quits not CN. They all went to other products after completing it or something.
said at 5:31 PM on Tue Oct 28 2014
@pete There's no evidence of that. They clearly had plans for season two between the Outsiders, Penguin, and Two-Face.

We'll never know since CN is forbidding anyone from interviewing the showrunners.
said at 7:27 PM on Tue Oct 28 2014
@D.A.V.E. I was talking about Thundercats.

RIP, sorry you couldn't even make it to 26 episodes before getting canned
said at 8:26 PM on Fri Apr 18 2014
Which is weird since Anthony Ruivivar said on twitter that they recorded 26 episodes
said at 8:32 AM on Sun Apr 27 2014
@Lpfan120 Check out Amazon's UK Instant video service. All 26 episodes are there.
said at 12:52 AM on Wed Jun 18 2014
@Dustinman2012 Not to mention iTunes is now uploading the unaired episodes week by week.
said at 10:59 AM on Wed Jun 18 2014
@D.A.V.E. I wonder if they'll do a season 2 with more famous Batman villains. I remember hearing Harvey Dent mention the Penguin in an episode.
said at 1:54 PM on Wed Jun 18 2014
@Dustinman2012 They probably had plans for Penguin, since they also mentioned him in the news.

Not that it'll matter now.

At first, I was too much of a disgruntled YJ/GL fan to like this (or TTG), looking only for faults, but man, this actually became good. Especially good cliffhanger episode. Nice and exotic Ra's.

And yes, CN screws us once again. Though apparently, episodes 14-16 aired on NZ TV already.
said at 8:52 PM on Sat Mar 22 2014
@Tupka 17th episode also aired yesterday. :P
said at 2:40 AM on Sun Mar 23 2014
@D.A.V.E. Aw man.

Hey, that's Greg Weisman's episode. That was the entire reason I started watching the series...

@Tupka It was pretty good. Hopefully CN will burn these out sometime.

I LOVE the textures and detail in the 3D models, but the animation itself ranges from "jerky" to "rubbery", which is a little off-putting for me. Like for example in the first episode when Professor Pig steps on the phone, looked a little choppy to me.
said at 8:53 PM on Tue Oct 22 2013
Ahahaha! I just heard CN pulled the show of the schedule! Idk if that means itll be on hiatus like they did with Young Justice for a while (with no explanation) or it's getting canned. I'm hoping for the latter. Maybe CN will realize they made the mistake of cancelling 2 GOOD DC Nation shows for this and that lackluster incarnation of a show they call Teen Titans Go
said at 9:57 AM on Wed Oct 23 2013
You'd think BTB suffering the same fate as GLTAS and YJ would cause the fandoms to unite against the stupidity that is Cartoon Network.

Between this and that ignorant article on io9, it seems like some GLTAS and YJ fans would rather kick the dog while it's down even though they've been in similar situations. Ugh.
said at 8:08 PM on Wed Oct 23 2013
@TheVengeanceKnight I know!!!

The way some stupid YJ and GL:TAS fanboys are acting about this is just flat out embarrassing.

I remember when I first heard this show I hated it and bashed it whenever I could.
Now, I really like it. It's in a different path then most things wih Batman and I like that. The villains they use are interesting and I like they make Batman seem experienced and intelligent but give him flaws.

I just hope Joker appears. It just isn't a Batman series without Joker.
said at 9:22 PM on Wed Sep 18 2013
@Dustinman2012 Are the Batman movies with other villains NOT Batman movies? Are the video games without him NOT Batman video games? Are the episodes of all shows that don't have the Joker NOT episodes of Batman shows?

I'm honestly glad we're not getting the same, overused villains.
said at 8:50 AM on Thu Sep 19 2013
@Dustinman2012 I'm also glad they are focusing on new villains, but I would still like to see some more traditional rogues as well. But until later in the series. For now, I'm really enjoying the direction they are taking.
said at 12:27 PM on Thu Sep 19 2013
@VctrBnsn I know we're getting one famous rogue.

Two, if you count Ra's al Ghul.
said at 12:12 PM on Sun Sep 29 2013
@D.A.V.E. Well, look who showed up. ;)
said at 1:58 PM on Sun Sep 29 2013
@Dustinman2012 He tends to get really excessive and overused by writers. Every story has him 99%of the time.
said at 2:02 PM on Sun Sep 29 2013
@D.A.V.E. I se4cond that I don't mind Penguin, Riddler, or Scarecrow appearing here but Joker tends to get really excessive when it comes to writers that he's in 99% of the stories in the comics. Writers rely on him too much and most stories follow this formula, Joker escapes from Arkham, hoes amok in the streets of Gotham in some crazy, zhany, scheme, Batman stops him and sends him back to Arkham, and the process repeats itself next time. I like the character and all since he's my avatar at the moment but he needs a rest.
said at 1:23 AM on Wed Oct 2 2013
@pete I too am glad there's no Joker in this series. Even if he did show up, want to know what's the first thing fans would say? WHERE'S MARK HAMILL?!? THIS GUY SUCKS COMPARED TO MARK HAMILL! Quite frankly, I don't even want to hear it.
said at 6:14 PM on Wed Aug 28 2013
 1 Shout Out! [?]
I really like that this show doesn't really focus on all the very well known batman villains (as of right now) and has many more obscure, one shot villains in the original Batman comics, which I really respect the creators for doing that, and recreating these originally goofy designed or motivated characters such as Humpty Dumpty or Prof. Pyg and Mister Toad.
said at 10:35 PM on Wed Aug 28 2013
@skeletonking1234 Humpty was never that goofy. He actually wasn't even a villain, just a mental patient in Arkham. This show made him a more malevolent version of the comics Humpty.
said at 4:55 PM on Mon Aug 5 2013
I hope Deathstroke shows up and yeah i know he popping up all over but it'd be cool. So far this show is pretty damn awesome.
said at 12:58 AM on Mon Jul 29 2013
I'm not a big fan of CGI, but when it's done right (Ninja Turtles, this), I think it works pretty well.

Also glad to see Tara Strong reprising her role of Barbara Gordon. Hope to see more badass Batgirl action!

I also find it interesting that Ian Corlett is in the cast. Did he move to the US?
CatsTuxedo (Moderator)
said at 12:33 PM on Mon Aug 5 2013
@PurpleWarrior13 I doubt it, considering his daughter Claire's still working in Vancouver. Ian's done other L.A.-based DC properties in the past, so I guess he's got dual citizenship or something?

Professor Pyg: Brian George
Magpie: Grey DeLisle
Anarky: Wallace Langham
Ra's al Ghul: Lance Reddick

Also, Kurtwood Smith revealed in an interview that he'll be voicing Lt. James Gordon.

@TheVengeanceKnight Yup. That Lego Kojima show is being saturated with ads and it comes out at the same time as this. TTGo! already had ads the moment the finales for YJ/GL:TAS aired, to rub salt on the wound.

And WB continues to wonder why these shows fail.

Even with rumors of troubles during production, a new Batman show is better than no serious-toned DC show.
I know they're deliberately avoiding the top tier rogues gallery, but in the event the show takes off, I really hope they make all Batman characters wide open for availability, for both villains and sidekicks.
said at 9:29 PM on Thu Jan 31 2013
@Foxwolf Well, Ra's al Ghul has been confirmed to appear.

@Foxwolf Look Batman TBATB. Originally no Batman villains or at least the major ones were going to appear much but chased that changed after what the first 10 episodes.
said at 4:08 AM on Mon Jul 15 2013
@pete The creators of TBATB never said they WOULDN'T have major villains, though.

I have a feeling the creators of his show might stick to their word a bit longer.

@Anicomicgeek I'm cautiously optimistic like most others but the quality in CG based on the latest image has upped my excitement a little. I know Ruivivar from the series Third Watch and he's a good actor. He's definitely playing Batman's voice deeper than his natural voice. I think it's a welcoming change for Alfred. Many fans know he has a past in the British secret service or whatever so at least we get to see what he was like in the good 'ol days.
said at 9:09 PM on Thu Jan 31 2013
@Foxwolf I heard JB Blanc do an interview on Crispin Freeman's podcast, and his regular voice is perfect for Alfred, IMO.
said at 9:43 PM on Thu Jan 31 2013

Good point. And I did watch the Hellsing special features, so like TheVengeanceKnight said, J.B. Blanc's normal voice could work for Alfred.

Still wish Alfred didn't look so... thuggish, though.
