NEWS - New Animated Series from J.G. Quintel
Reported by OptimusSolo on Sat May 20 2017

Regular Show creator J.G. Quintel is starting a new animated series that will launch next year on the cable network TBS. It’s titled Close Enough, and early descriptions paint it as a domestic family comedy.

According to THR, “Close Enough is a surreal take on transitioning from 20-something to 30-something. The show centers on a married couple juggling such every day challenges as parenthood, friendship, ham theft, stripper clowns and choosing the right day care.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to add one of animation’s most impressive and popular voices, J.G. Quintel, to our growing slate of animated series,” says Brett Weitz, executive vice president of original programming for TBS. Both Cartoon Network and TBS fall under the Turner umbrella, and THR reports that Cartoon Network Studios will be handling some of the production.

13 episodes of Close Enough have been ordered and TBS will begin airing them sometime in 2018.
