Marvel began streaming the trailer for their new anime movie, produced in association with Madhouse: Iron Man: Rise of the Technovore.
Marvel says about the film:
"The film explores a confrontation between Iron Man and the villainous Ezekiel Stane, who develops new bio-technology that seemingly outclasses the Iron Man armor. After Stane unleashes a terrorist attack and sets Tony up to take the fall, Iron Man must evade S.H.I.E.L.D.'s man hunt and find a way to clear his name."
The film is being directed by Hiroshi Hamazaki (Steins;Gate, Shiguri: Death Frenzy), with a story by Brandon Auman (The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Iron Man: Armored Adventures). It will be released to DVD an Blu-ray in Japan by Sony Pictures Japan next Spring. It's set to include appearances from War Machine, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Nick Fury and The Punisher.
Marvel and Madhouse previously produced 2010's "Marvel Anime" (containing 12-episode shows for Iron Man, Wolverine, X-Men, and Blade), which were broadcast in North America on G4, and were released to Region 1 DVD by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
