NEWS - Frank Welker Hopes For More Curious George
Reported by Foxwolf on Wed Mar 26 2014

Despite the popularity of Curious George, PBS's current cycle only produces 6 new episodes per season. To compare numbers, George's first season started with 40 episodes, then 20 in it's second season. PBS did state that this is part of their model, where shows start out with a high number of episodes and subsequent seasons receive smaller number.

Frank Welker, the voice of George shared his concern about the decrease in new episodes and hopes for the show to pick up again in production.

"I think we all would like to see more production. It is a show we’re proud of, and the ratings have always been stellar."

"All that being said, it is critical for most of us in the voice acting business to have many shows, for one show does not a living make."

@virtual revenger
I would doubt that but for the fact that they now are hiring more regular actors and just using digital voice altering rather than hiring the real; talent.

 1 Shout Out!
Curious George is highly under rated now, shameful because it has been one of my cherished childhood stories.

I myself also do hope to see our little primate more in the future.
