NEWS - First Trailer for Resident Evil 6
Reported by NCZ on Thu Jan 19 2012

A few months ago, voice actor DC Douglas accidentally let slip the existence of a sixth main-series Resident Evil game. Considering the franchise's immense popularity, a new entry is no surprise. That was largely all the information about the game however; until now, that is.

The plot was given by Capcom as such:

It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President’s side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world’s population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.

Gameplay-wise, RE6 will follow Chris and Leon; Leon goes to a small town under an infestation much like Raccoon City, while Chris visits China for an "all-out asault on the front lines". Capcom promises that the two plotlines will intertwine in mindblowing fashion.

And now, for the moment of truth, here is the trailer:

That's obviously Roger Craig Smith voicing Chris Redfield, but who is voicing Leon Kennedy?
Liam O'Brien? Or is it Dave Wittenberg (who is voicing him in Operation Raccoon City)?

I saw this a bit earlier on YouTube, and never thought to see the day. Too bad this is Capcom post-RE4; meaning that my feelings with the company nowadays are rather strained.

But back on the subject, it's definitely great to see Leon and Chris fighting side-by-side, in which this is what most fans wanted to see... and they got it, correct?
