Just watched the acceptance speech - it's the boldest statement Disney has made since they allowed Howard Ashman's partner to accept his Oscar.

Some small part of me wished Mr. Big sounded like the Brain from "Pinky and the Brain"...yanno, considering the voice actor.

Oh well.

@Enigma2Me That would defeat the point of Big being a Don Vito stand-in, plus no one under the age of 20 would get the joke.

And yeah, I know The Godfather's even older than that, but it's a culturally revered work, so there's a better excuse to lift from it :/

Honestly, even if I was just a small role in this movie, I'd be really proud of myself for starring in this REALLY fantastic movie.

It's funny how when the first few trailers came out, no one really cared, yet less than a year later when it was properly released it's now one of the best films ever.

@Enigma2Me You know the same thing happened with Frozen.

No one thought anything of it until its released, it surpassed most people expectations and then it became the juggernaut hit it is now known for.

@Autovolt You could say the same thing about the LEGO Movie, people were all ready to despise that film before it even came out, then it pretty much caught everyone by surprise with how good it was.

Was I only one who thought that Finnick was voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson?

@The Doctor Even though I saw IMDb's cast list for the movie before seeing it, I didn't remember that Idris Elba voiced Chief Bogo, and at first I thought HE was voiced by Kevin (until being reminded again that it was Idris).

Wow this movie was really good....this might just be the best modern Disney film yet, it exceeded all my expectations.

It's Definitely better than Frozen.

@Jacob M. Keene Ditto, I actually was quite surprised on the hype the film's been getting especially getting a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. I especially enjoyed the film for it's themes common in our modern society and the character development from Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, especially the former due to her optimism and her dreams on being the first rabbit officer in the ZPD. So yeah, this is Disney's best animated film so far.

Reminds me of Pom Poko for some reason. Without the shapeshifting and strong environmental message, of course.

I don't like to judge based on so little but something that kinda bothers me is that it is making a big deal that this movie is about anthromorpic (just gonna assume I misspelled that) animals (the trailer only even mentions this, not even really bothering on the main characters). But we have all seen movies and shows that do that so its kinda like "yeah...and?"

I'm not saying that this is bad or anything, just something that i found odd.

@Music Meister To be fair, it's Walt Disney Animation Studios' first non-Pooh film focusing on non-transformed animals since Bolt in 2008, and the first non-Pooh film focusing on anthros since Chicken Little (can't believe Chicken Little is almost 10 years old).

@Music Meister Trust Me This is movie is far complex and has a lot more going on than you'd imagine.

I'll admit the way they pitched the movie wasn't the most impressive, I just assumed it'd be furbait but turns out the praise the movie has gotten actually is well warranted.

This could go either way for me.

I know I know furries but who knows. With that said Jason Bateman voicing the main character is pretty cool, I'm sure he'll do well.

I hope there are a few professional voice actors in this movie... Not a huge fan of how Disney's been giving them the shaft in their recent films (granted, T.J. Miller and Alan Tudyk are no strangers to voice acting, but still...).
