I saw this movie in the theater with two best friends of mine and I LOVED IT!!! and I recognized some of the characters in the bad guy group too, including Bowser, Eggman and Noob Saibot.

One of the reasons I love this movie is Alan Tudyk. It gave him a chance to show off more of his vocal range. And boy, did he show off!

As a non-gamer who only play games casually, I didn't have any interest to see this movie, but after Frozen blew me away I knew that I had to give this a chance. This movie... WAS FRIGGING AWESOME! I never would have thought that this would have so much heart and great moral at the end.

Also, Zangief... *slap*

Love it.

I like the cameos that this movie has, but I like that it doesn't take up too much of the movie. It could've easily become crowded with way too many references, but it took a backstage to the plot and the characterization, which is really the way it should be rather than the other way around. Plus I love the development the characters go through.

@Metabad That was my fear when I watched it. I'm not a big video game person, so I was worried that a lot of the jokes or characters were going to go over my head.

I mean, I still only recognized maybe half of the legit video game characters, but at least I was able to say "Hey, that's Bowser! And M. Bison! And Sonic!" :D

But knowledge of video games wasn't essential to this, so I was glad.

Just saw this the other day. Loved it. It's so great. Loved the voices, loved the designs.

I'm comfortable enough in masculinity to say that the water works were flowing ever so gently during some scenes.

Question: why didn't they make M. Bison sound like Raul Julia?

@Ikrani Because this was playing tribute to video games. Not video game movies.
said at 8:54 PM on Wed Sep 17 2014
@The Doctor But Raul Julia was awesome. His was truly the greatest Bison.
said at 5:12 AM on Tue Feb 10 2015
@Ikrani It wouldn't have worked with this rendition... Though that said, if Raul was alive, I would've been keen for it.

This is a really cool movie, as it brought a lot of nostalgia of my golden days of videogame enjoyment. I have to say that the Wreck it Ralph game is interesting. What caught my attention was the world of Sugar Rush with all that candy and sweet treats. If King Candy had said. "We got more candy and treats here than Bubble Bobble." I would've just lost it. I also found some of the hidden Mickey symbols throughout the movie.

Alright, I'm dying to know... who voiced Eggman and Chun Li in this movie? Did they even speak?

@PurpleWarrior13 Chun-Li doesn't speak. Eggman and Bowser's only "lines" are in unison with the rest of the Bad Anon group while they recite their motto, so they don't have any for themselves.

Wait, what about Mario!!!???!!! Charles Martinet won't be in this movie!!!???!!!

@Anthonyiscool64 The developers found Nintendo's requested fee for use of Mario and Luigi too high. As such, they chose to include mighty Bowser without them.

Wait, I just realized something. This IS a Disney movie... anyone else smelling Kingdom Hearts crossover potential?
said at 10:15 PM on Wed Aug 29 2012
@NCZ *very very hopeful* Sora? Roxas? Axel? Kairi? So many possibilities...!

Sonic is in the movie AND Roger Craig Smith is voicing him! So excited!
said at 2:46 PM on Sun Jul 15 2012
@NCZ Me too.

Honestly, I prefer Roger over Jason as the voice of Sonic.

Since Ralph will be in All-Stars Racing Transformed, will he be included in the game's BtVA page once it is made?

@NCZ Bowser in a movie..my dream-come-true. And I can't WAIT to hear Sonic introduce himself! "I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog!" I just wish that Bowser had at least a few speaking lines provided by Kenny James. In the trailer, he's seen saying, "Hi, Zangief," along with everyone else, but I doubt that he was actually given a voice clip for the scene.

@TheBlackHawk Yeah, it's a shame that he might not talk, but the fact that he's apeparing at all is awesome. It's definitely better than the Bowser from that (shudder) live-action Mario movie.

@Mikel Yes, he will.
said at 11:07 AM on Sat Jul 21 2012
@NCZ Dennis Hopper even said that was the worst role he's ever played in a movie. (shudder) Let's just pretend that movie never happened... XD It'd be pretty awesome to hear Kenny James actually speak as Bowser; it'd sound even better than Scott Burns in Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour.

@NCZ Will Mario be in the Movie?

@Anthonyiscool64 Nothing on Mario himself, yet.

@NCZ Oh well, That's ok but I can't wait to see this movie when It comes out soon. I'm just saying this movie would be more awesome if Mario was in it, and Charles Martinet would voice him.

It's a Disney movie about video games. This one is a must-see for me! The cameos just make it that much sweeter. Seeing authentic portrayals of characters like Dr. Eggman and M. Bison on the big screen is a fanboy dream come true for me. Also, I think it's really cool that Gerald will be voicing Bison again.
