Is it just me, or do Tito and Angelo look like a grown up Russell from Up? Maybe it's the hats.

Seriously DreamWorks?
You've done awesome movies like How to Train your Dragon, Rise of the Guardians and Kung Fu Panda, but now your doing a movie on SNAILS?....

two words: Cars + Ratatouille :/

@demon-rabbit94 I direct you to a comment of mine below.

Please quantify how vikings/dragons, holiday characters and pandas are any more or less fit for the screen than snails. I'd really like to know. Any writer or filmmaker worth their salt will tell you that it's not what the main character looks like, it's HOW THE STORY IS TOLD. *That* is what matters.

I mean, "A Bug's Life", "Antz", "Shrek", "Ice Age", "The Owls of Ga'Hoole" - these films don't get half the hate that "Turbo" does, based solely on the species of the main characters. Fish, bees, ants, owls, ogres, dragons, closet monsters, pandas, talking cars, tiny forest people, rats, snails. Explain to me the difference. I must be missing some sort of magical equation that everyone else seems to see that states "everything in the world can make a great animated movie ... except for snails. Because f*** snails."

Now, if you didn't like the movie, that's cool. If you have no desire to see it, more power to you. But knee-jerking your opinion of the movie based on the (flawed logic of judging the) species of the title character? That's where things fall apart.

Have you heard Ryan Reynolds acting in those Turbo YouTube Ad's that pop up once in a while?
It's god awful... "REWiiiiND!" :/

I was actually pretty surprised with this film when I saw it. Reynolds is pretty decent as the character of turbo and Paul Giamatti was good as his brother, my only major problem is that all the side characters seem to be more fun than the main characters and it makes me wish the film was more about Whiplash and his gang than turbo actually due to how fun and creative they all are, especially Snoop Doggs character.

So why do people want to see a movie about a snail? It's like the questionable logic behind Cars except without a whole lot of entertainment value.

@Mrguy22594 Why would people want to see a movie about about monsters? Why would people want to see a movie about an ogre? Why would people want to see a movie about a crazed vigilante who dresses up like a flying rodent? Why would people want to see a movie about robots? Why would people want to see a movie about owls or rats or prehistoric creatures or nearly any other animal or character? If you can tell an engaging story that draws an audience in and entertains them, the species of the main character is of no consequence.

@TylerMirage I can understand all that because there's some entertainment value to those but this is just plain ridiculous and it has the man who butchered two famous comic book characters in it. (Deadpool and Hal Jordan) I just don't see the entertainment value of a snail because well.... IT'S A SNAIL!!!

@Mrguy22594 But if there's entertainment value to monsters, robots, owls and bugs, why not snails? That's cool if you don't think this looks interesting. Each to their own, and you're probably not alone. But kids will probably eat this up, along with the approximate craptonne of money it'll make from merchandising, ha ha.

Also, the belief that Ryan Reynolds *himself* ruinied two comic book characters is laughable. Probably has nothing to do with the large creative heads behind the two year production, no. Don't blame the producers, don't blame the director. It probably had nothing to do with the writers. Blame the actor who spent four months as the character. *He's* the reason why those movies flopped. ;)

Let me guess, a snail's true dream in life is to be a NASCAR Driver and we all learn a lessen that nothing can get in away of our dreams.
I think that's this movie in a nut shell but hey that's just a guess

am I the only one that thinks this looks like a parody of dreamworks and cg animated films more than an actual animated film?
