I am so happy the original cast returned for the sequel(will only Emmet and Wyldstyle/Lucy has talked and it sounded like Will's Batman and Alison's Unikitty in the trailer)

Is this the first time we see C-3P0 appeared without R2-D2 showed up?

It's funny. I'm one of those people that, while I do like the movie, I don't think it's nearly as good as a lot of people say it is.

Yes the animation is amazing, the voice cast is fantastic, and it's a great concept for a movie, but I don't know. Everyime I watch this movie, I don't really see the huge 90 something % on Rotten Tomatoes. I mean, yeah I thought it was funny, but I wasn't laughing every 2 minutes like a lot of people say, I did think there were a few jokes that really weren't all that funny.

Yes I was mad that it didn't get an Oscar nod as I did feel that a movie like this should've, especially since it was the highest grossing animated movie of the year and got the most critical praise.

Don't get me wrong, I still do like this movie, it's just nowhere near the best animated movie ever made, or best comedy ever made IMO.

@skeletonking1234 Glad I'm not the only one who thought the movie. I'm reconsidering whether or not I still want to go ahead with the revist review after reading this.

And yeah, I'm the same when it comes to not getting an Oscar nod last year cause it did deserve a nomination.

It's awesome we finally got some voice clips of the movie.

That must mean we're getting close to the BTVA Awards. :D

You know what I enjoy about this page? The comments. Seeing the first comments being overly negative and prematurely judgemental, prophesying that this movie would be garbage or looks lame, complaining about the voice cast, etc..

Oh, people. Don't ever change.

@TylerMirage On Youtube's comment sections, it would go the other way around... or have negativity on both ends. :P

Why or how this film (along with Book of Life) didn't get an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Movie is beyond me.

At least the Academy was able to recognize the genius of "Everything is Awesome".

@SpongeBat1 I can understand why they might have passed on Book of Life. The visuals in that movie were gorgeous, but the plot was a bit thin.

That said, Lego Movie not making it is far from the most questionable decision made in the nomination process.
said at 8:34 PM on Sun Jan 25 2015
@NCZ As far as I can guess, they probably didn't recognize it as a FULLY animated movie (with its live-action segment), the same way they excluded Tintin from the list in 2011 for using motion capture.

It's not a good reason, but it's still a reason. Barely.

Saw t today, th jokes were perfect and each character was fun.
Towards the end it went down a road I felt wasn't that great (wont spoil it) but even then it didn't ruin the movie.
said at 2:14 PM on Sun Feb 23 2014
@Music Meister I for one thought that particular road was very nice, and it strengthened the emotional impact of the film, while also supporting its message.

Most of the cast was perfect.
The ending of this movie was absolutely perfect.
Best animated comedy I've seen since Wreck-It Ralph.

Everything is awesome! Everything's cool when your part of your theme! It's been stuck in my head and I really want to watch this.

I watched the castlist on IMDB and started laughing when I read that somebody - I forgot the name - would be voicing Duplo, which is LEGO for kids. It's funny because I loved Duplo in my childhood.

Another 'never judge a book by its cover' movie. This was one of the best animated comedies I've seen in a LONG TIME!!! I was laughing like every five seconds! The jokes were hilarious and perfectly timed, the casting was perfect, and twist was surprising and heartfelt. I highly recommend it.

Talk about a complete relapse in anticipation.

Ever since they announced the movie, I have ALWAYS been skeptical about it ever since I felt that the Lego industry has felt more like a corporate pander in the last few years (which is why I've no longer bought any of their products in the past 5 or 6 years). Given the direction I saw the movie going into, and REGARDLESS of financial success, I figured that it will either become a creative genius (which I'd hope make way to more better movies in the future) or a creative mess (following in the likes of Shark Tale and the Cat In The Hat movie).

As of right now, this movie currently has 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I have now officially been shut up about the movie, while the gif I've presented below is all I can respond with.

The theme song for this movie is a collaboration between Tegan and Sara and The Lonely Island and if that's not one of the craziest concepts in recent music history I don't know what is.

@partymonster411 Actually, it's CGI made to look like stop-motion. Though I can't exactly blame you; I was fooled at first, too.

@CatsTuxedo woah thats incredible CGi, i have no idea how @demon-rabbit94 thinks it's dumbed down junk

Here's that annoying **** again. Casting screen actors as voice actors for no reason other than to have big names attached to it. It really gets under my skin.
There are these guys called "voice actors," who specialize in the field of "voice acting."
See, when a character is in need of a voice, these people specialize in providing that voice.
I'm not sure why studios decide to turn towards "screen actors" to do the jobs that "voice actors" are supposed to do.
But hey, that's just me.
said at 11:48 PM on Wed Oct 23 2013
@RenoRebirth Jesus, I know the feeling! It's like with studio ghibli movies. Most of the cast is big time screen actors, while only 2 or 3 VAs are in it! It drives me up the blooming wall! And F***ing channing tatum. Dear Jesus I HATE HIM!
said at 3:22 PM on Thu Oct 24 2013
@RenoRebirth There are some cases where having celebrity voices can work (Robin Williams as the Genie from Aladdin greatly disputes this case). But you are definitely not the only one with that issue.

I'll wait until I actually see the movie to judge on the big name performances, but here's what I always think: big-name celebrity voiceovers can work if the writing takes advantage of it. I don't know how the movie will be written, but until I see for myself, I don't want to say anything about it yet.

But case in point, it drives me nuts, too.
said at 2:51 AM on Mon Oct 28 2013
@DreamMaster08X Oh, there's no denying that it works in some cases. Certain celebrities have a lot to offer voice-wise, but so far there are only three people that seem to fit that bill, and those would be Will, Morgan, and Liam. Everyone else... there's really just no reason for it.
