If the Horned King appeared in something else and John wasen't able to reprise the role, does anyone think Mark Hamill would make a suitable replacement?

@HK-47 master I think Keith Szarabajka would be a closer match.

@HK-47 master I remember years ago, I read a wikipedia article that said that Corey Burton voiced the Horned King in the House of Mouse, while I doubt that's true I think he'd be another good choice for the role.

@Metabad I heard about that too.
I think he'd be good in the role, but I can't help but I feel that he's become typecast as Disney villains; I mean, Captain Hook, Judge Frollo, Flotsam and Jetsam...I like Corey and his vocal range, but I just feel like there are some roles that should get reserved for other voice actors

It is too bad the Black Cauldron did not do well in the movies. Maybe if it had been live action. It would have been better.

I remember this guy. John Hurt does a FANTASTIC job on him! The way he always says 'yeessss' makes him sound a bit like Megatron, though.

The way the Horned King's voice sounds is VERY haunting and sinster sounding! It makes me feel like I'm going to fade away....

I don't know about the Japanese Version, but I prefer John Hurt because he really nailed it. But, look at the king! He looks very and I mean VERY dark, sinister, and haunting. He's one of the Disney Villains that scare me. I'm not kidding!
These are the top 3 Villains that frighten me:
#1: Chernabog (Fantasia 1940)
#2: The Horned King (The Black Cauldron 1985)
#3: Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty 1959)
