To be honest, the only reason I would go see this is because Will Arnett is in it. And he is awesome!!

@Axem Red I wouldn't. He used up all his funny as Batman in The Lego Movie.

@Axem Red He's adequately funny in this. Got some good laughs and moments with Megan.

I think this movie will bring in fans to the franchise regardless of the negative reviews critics are posting.

I want to see this movie solely to relieve a bit of my geeky side.

Johnny Knoxville as Leo and Tony Shalhoub as Splinter?

Not my first casting choices, but alright...

@SpongeBat1 I actually love the idea of Tony Shalhoub as Splinter. Although that's probably because the idea of Adrian Monk being a rat from the sewers is just infinitely amusing to me.

That said, as much as I like that casting choice, and as cool as Transformers-Shredder looks (seriously he looks exactly like one), I think I'm gonna skip out on this movie.

I saw the latest trailer and I got a few things to say.
Knoxville honestly sounds like Biggs from the 2012 cartoon. Better than what I expected.
I honestly like Shaloub as Splinter. It's not the typical Japanese accent but it's fitting. Still has that teacher vibe to it.
Megan Fox... Oh Megan. Your line delivery is a little off. The nicest thing I coukd say to you is I hope it's your best movie.
Donnie defies the laws of physics by lifting a car with his staff?

I saw the new 2nd trailer and I'd like to post my thoughts. It's roughly the same cliche trailer but the turtles soon become the spotlight in this.

My thoughts on the designs:
Leonardo- I'm fine with his design. The stuff he's wearing is a bit too much. But I don't care.... The bamboo armour is a little....interesting.

Raphael- Looks much better than he is in the TV spot. Seriously he looked like his right arm was bigger than his left arm. O_O People complained he was too much like the Hulk but once he got out those sais......

Donatello- OK, I prefer him if he kept his mouth shut. Seriously those teeth...... I like the goggles but the gear and glasses is pretty meh to right. Is it me or does he have a gap tooth like the 2012 version?
Donnie's my favourite turtle and I'm concerned about his look now.....

Michelangelo-He's awesome in his mask. Just keep that mask on please..... Looked way better in the 2nd trailer. Also that rocket skateboard and his voice......
Easily the best voice out of the four so far......

Splinter- Fu Manchu mustache? OK..... Nice voice by the way.....

Shredder-BA! Armour is cool! I think it matters on what the Eric Sachs character will be like..... Is he an alien like the 2003 version.

And I won't bother with April, Vern, Bernadette Thompson or Karai.....

To say that I'm happy they finally made a real life turtle movie I am. But honestly I'm not digging the new look they look like an Aztec warrior ninja instead of a real turtle ninja. I just saw all the old school movies with my wife and daughter, and we all agreed that the new look is not great. Shredder should have been and always should be an Asian actor, someone that can fit the role real good like Jet Li. He played a good bad guy in 'Lethal weapon 4'. If your into old school movies, plus he is still quick on his feet and Shredder is always portrayed as the same or equal to Splinter in martial arts. If your into the movie series he never really got down and dirty with the ninja skills just a quick take down and move here and move there in part 1, you never really saw him in action. Same goes for splinter all he has ever done besides the cartoon series, is just wave the nun chucks and throws Shredder over the edge of a building in part 1. And shoot an arrow threw the air to save the turtles caught in a net in part 2.

@Chile55 I agree, to say that they finally made a real-life, live-action turle movie I'm happy. but honestly, I'm into the turtles new look. they do look more like Aztec ninja warriors instead of the ninja turtles we all know. I have seen the old movies and the old series before 2012. But I think they should have given the roles to some of the actors who have played the turtles in the past. But what can you do this shows how out-there Michael Bay is, he even cast Megan Fox from the movie Jenifer's body to play April O'neil and Johnny Knoxville from the franchise Jackass to play the older brother/leader Leonardo. I think that Michael Bay should have left both Megan Fox and Johnny Knoxville out of the movie.

@Sajin Frost Michael Bay is "out there" because he didn't cast some of the other VAs who have already voiced the turtles before?

Does that make Christopher Nolan "out there" for not casting Val Kilmer as Bruce Wayne? Does that make Joss Whedon "out there" for not bringing Eric Bana in as Bruce Banner in "The Avengers"? Or Phillipa Boyens "out there" for not casting James Horan as Smaug again? Liebesman's casting choices are hardly the first or only example of movies that didn't bring back previous actors/VAs.

Bay's "out there" for a lot of OTHER reasons, ha ha, but not this.

Wait, wait, wait, wait. I changed my mind on the whole animation thing, it actually looks nice when it's in the right setting- real life. The design in the picture sucks, but when I saw the trailer, great.

I'd give Johnny Knoxville a chance, considering how Jason Biggs actually managed to voice Leo in 2012 series.

Tony Shalhoub? I don't know geez.... I could see Michael Bay having some influence on that due to the fact he was in Pain and Gain.

@electronic456 Providing they let Knoxville actually ACT and it ISN'T just him going "LOL guise it's me Johnny Knoxville!", I think he might do quite well.

As for Shalhoub, I think he's a great actor, and yeah, no doubt that Bay had some influence on that casting, along with Megan Fox and Fitchner. But then again, as one of the producers, that's pretty much his job.

OOOOHHHHH this design is killing me!!!! I'm a turtle fan, and this really hurts. If you ask me, the best design is in the 2012 nickelodeon series and TMNT.

@Regomania If you ask me, they look more like actual turtles

@Regomania I have to agree. They look more like a bird-turtle-humanoid breed than the turtle-humanoid I think the designers were trying to go for.

@Regomania It's so odd that they look like birds. I think it's something to do with the lips in combination with the rounded muzzles. Gives off a bird-like look.

My eyes are looking at them and seeing hints of birds, yet I stop and look closely at them, and there's like, nothing that actually makes them look like birds. O.o It's like the squint test. I'm seeing bird faces, yet I lean in close and lose the bird faces.

But really, they may look weird, but I think this is a pretty dang-good translation of walking, talking turtles into live-action designs. Think about it. They've always had lips, really, it's just that this is the first time we can actually make out lip detail because of the fact it's live-action.
