from the trailer I am interested in the film and what they can do with this old series. As long as they don't resort to pop culture, and fart jokes like some of their other films, this might be a decent film. And considering this is being done by the creators of How To Train Your Dragon and Croods, I feel this is going to be a visual treat, and is gonna have some smart writing considering those two films, and the director directed Lion King, and the first two Stuart Little films, and the producer produced Ted, 42, and Cabin in the Woods.

My only real nitpick from what I've seen of the trailer is that while I do like how Max sounds for Sherman, I do feel Ty's voice is a bit too deep compared to the original voice. To be honest, I could've seen Downey Jr. do it actually since I feel he could've made his voice sound similar since his voice is a little closer to how Peabody sounded. Though I am interested in seeing Mel Brooks back in a film for once in this film as Sigmund Freud (from what's been announced), and I feel Stanley Tucci was a pretty good choice for Leonardo Da Vinci.

Ty Burrell as Mr. Peabody? Hmm. His work as Phil on Modern Family is HILARIOUS, but unless he can pull the voice off I'm rather skeptical of that casting choice.

 1 Shout Out! [?]
I bet the kid who's voicing Sherman never saw a single episode of the series in his life, if it were up to me I would've chosen Corey Burton or Greg Ellis as Mr. Peabody and Tress MacNeille or Nancy Cartwright as Sherman.

@Cartoon_fan87 Unfortunately, that is not how Hollywood works. Big-name stars play the main characters, children play all child roles, while regular VAs are relegated to minor background roles.

Why are we rebooting this series? Urg, can't we just leave older stuff alone?

@Music Meister I'm personally excited for this movie, since I'm a huge fan of the Rocky and Bullwinkle franchise. A revival is very much needed.

...Though I do wish this was in 2D (I'm getting a bit tired of all animated characters looking like plastic toys)...

Fortunately, June Foray is confirmed to be reprising her role of Rocky for the Bullwinkle short (which I REALLY hope is 2D).
