The best part of this film had to be Rob Paulsen singing Don't Pull Your Love.

I'm actually enjoy this film down to it humor, animation, voice cast, and cool easter eggs Batman fans will know

To be honest, I thought this movie was pretty decent. Yes there are a couple things that didn't add up all that well, and it did get a teeny bit immature at times, but I thought it was funny. I think after Gods and Monsters which I hated and Killing Joke which I thought was okay, this was kind of a nice surprise to me. Is it one of the best? Absolutely not, there are problems with it, but I thought the comedy was pretty good, voiceover was fine, and the animation was also pretty okay.

This wasn't too bad for a DC animated film. Although the story's pretty weak and it can pander at some times there's still some enjoyable moments here and there's some good battle scenes. The voice acting is terrific especially Conroy as Batman and it was a hoot to see Devall, Bauza, Richardson and Paulsen here as well.

I...liked this movie. It isn't one of DC's best animated movie but it is FAR from being one of the worse.
I'll admit, it feels immature in some spots (mostly the sex jokes and there is a fart joke) and the villains plan is rather generic.
That said...it got me to laugh a few times. And yeah...I laughed at the fart joke...
The action is decent, the acting is pretty good (it is pretty nice to hear Kevin play a Batman with personality again) and it even has two good songs song by Rob Paulsen and Melissa.
It does feel like Batman TAS deleted scenes made into a movie but I thought it was decent.
A solid 7/10

"Smells like.. discipline."
I'd like to imagine Conroy was trying to hold back laughing.

i think bruce timm should stick to drawing from now on, on the bright side YJ is coming out soon

@Abdullab More than that, he'd be better off sticking to painting; he was always a thoroughly mediocre cartoonist/designer, and painting had always been his bigger strength.

@CatsTuxedo - While I respectfully disagree about his character designs, I do agree his painting and shading are top notch

The movie may be so-so, but honestly, this one was one of Conroy's best performances in recwnt memory

Well, I may as well share my thoughts. Batman and Harley Quinn was... okay. Just okay.
The animation was good, as well as the voice acting (for the most part), but the story was not interesting, and some of the characters felt off putting; and seeing the same aesthetics used for a friendly Saturday morning cartoon used for these more sexually and verbally adult jokes and sequences just clashed together.
And the movie even pandered here and there; and there is no backstory to Harley either, as to why she quite or even what happened to Joker.
All in all I can't say it was a bad movie, but having seen this, as well as reading other reviews, I must come and say this film needed more work.
I give it 6.5 out'a 10 stars.

After watching the extended preview, this looks incredibly promising. I love the fact that Batman's design is kind of an amalgamation between DCAU's Justice League with the Mask design, and The New Batman Adventures with the costume. I'm looking forward to all the banter between the leads. But dang... I just don't like Nightwing's bowl cut! It looks so silly to me! Even though it's dated, the long hair from TNBA would look better.

Much as I loved DiMaggio's take, Joker's gotta be Trevor Devall this time around. DC, please.

@huzaifa_ahmed - That'd be very interesting to see. But given how much this feels like a DCAU type of story, you know they'll bring in Markie boy to voice him again

Not gonna lie, never been a huge fan of Harley, but based on the behind the scenes stuff I've seen this looks like it's shaping up to be a really fun movie. Kevin, Loren and Melissa seem to be really enjoying themselves here, might have to give this one a watch once it goes up on Netflix.

I gotta say I actually really like Melissa Rauch's take on Harley. It's a little rougher than other Harley voices but at least it doesn't sound so high pitch and grating like some other voices.....
I feel she will capture the essence of what made Harley great in BTAS.
Kevin Conroy sounds great here, much better than in The Killing Joke based off in the preview, he sounds a lot more emotional.
Bringing Loren Lester back as Nightwing was a genius move, I'm glad he's back. I've always loved his rendition of the character, he's exactly how I imagine Nightwing sounding at that stage of his life.
Paget Brewster as Poison Ivy, I have a feeling she'll approach the role in a manor similar to Diane Pershing, so I think she'll do well.
If there is a gripe in casting, Floronic Man should have been voiced by John Glover who played him in Batman and Robin. I mean yeah he was Riddler in BTAS but it would have been a nice casting gag here.
I'm pretty excited to see my boys Eric Bauza and Trevor Devall in this. Looking forward to who those characters are.
I think this will actually be a pretty fun flick, something most of the DC movies outside of Return of the Caped Crusaders as of late haven't been.

it is a bummer that dini and sorkin are not involved with this project that would seem like a project they would want to get involved in though Its nice to see they are using the art style of Bruce Timm.
Hopefully another film will have the art style of Jeff Matsuda

@Abdullab Yeah, I feel between him and Bruce Timm, Paul Dini is definitely the bigger brains when it comes to these stories.

Between John Dimaggio, Trevor Devall and Eric Bauza, who do I want to voice the Joker?! Oh that's simple... Mark Hamill. ;P
Frankly though, I think it's probably for the best we just left the Joker out of this film and just focus on Harley herself.

New Harley Quinn VA eh? I'm definitely interested. Nice to see Loren Lester reprise as Nightwing. I have a theory that Eric Bauza might be Penguin for this movie based on the fact that he tweeted about voicing Penguin several months back. Could be wrong. Either way the cast is looking pretty good so far.

I don't know, I'm not looking forward to Melissa Rauch as Harley Quinn.
Say what you will about Tara Strong, at least she does sound somewhat like Arleen Sorkin, yet she was doing her own thing with the character.
I guess I prefer an actual voice actress like her or Hynden Walch, or even someone new like Kari Wahlgren or Jessica Dicicco, or even Ashly Burch.
All though from what I saw from the sneak peek, the animation is pretty good, and the humor and character dynamics are certainly promising; and thank God btw Harley is in her original court jester outfit!
Seriously, what's with this trend recently on making her look like a Borderlands character? How mediocre do you have to be to think something like "Hey, She's supposed to be 'Harlequin'... so let's dress her up as something that looks nothing like that!"
At least in Arkham City and even the DC Rebirth we get some semblance of her traditional red/black color scheme, but for the most part when I see all these different designs like in the Suicide Squad movie I don't think "Clown Girl" I think "Trying to Hard to be Hip."
All that said, this is still promising and I look forward to it.

@Troodon2 Honestly I'm looking forward to hearing someone new in this role, rather than have Tara Strong reprise. Also I believe she's gotten a lot worse as Harley Quinn.
Replysaid at 8:17 PM on Tue Apr 4 2017
@Shaun Ince Did you read where I preferred an actual voice actress like Tara OR someone else like Hynden Walch, or the alternative I suggested?
Replysaid at 8:18 PM on Tue Apr 4 2017
@Shaun Ince I apologize if I sound brusk, but like I said I kind'a prefer and actual voice actress rather than some celebrity like Rauch.
Replysaid at 8:35 PM on Tue Apr 4 2017
@Troodon2 Yes you have made that clear already. Second I'm more open to this idea rather than have Tara reprise. I also mentioned the reason why I didn't want Tara Strong to reprise Harley Quinn.
Replysaid at 8:39 PM on Tue Apr 4 2017
@Shaun Ince I get your argument with Tara, but my main point to my comment was that I just preferred a voice actress over someone like Rauch. No Tara Strong, fine, but I'm just not feeling Melissa Rauch.
Replysaid at 9:33 PM on Tue Apr 4 2017
@Troodon2 That's understandable, but I'd rather wait until we actually get some footage to see how good she will be as Harley. The whole thing with celebrities in voice acting roles is a double edged sword. There's some that are really good. And there are others that don't sound good and sound better being performed by a seasoned veteran voice actor.
I'm curious to see which category Melissa Roach will go into. Will it be a really good casting choice? Or will it fall flat on its face? I'm not familiar with Melissa at all so I'm looking at this from an outsiders perspective. You obviously are which is why you're skeptical of it. And it's not wrong to think that.
