Having Just Seen the Dub for This, Shoya Ishida is Now My Favourite Role from Robbie Daymond.

Major Kudos to the Staff at NYAV Post for casting Lexi Cowden. Her Performance as Shoko sounds so Raw and Heartfelt that I Desperately want to hear more Voice Work From Her.

The Rest of The Cast Play Their Part Beautifully and Stephanie Sheh, Amanda Winn-Lee and Michael Sinterniklaas' Voice Direction Truly Brought this Tale of Humanity To Life....

This Film Is An Essential Viewing Experience IMO.

 1 Shout Out!
This dub was a absolutely an beautiful price of work to watch.
Lexi Marman Cowden performance as Shoko was beautiful. The fact she an actual deaf actress really give the performance mush more realism in to it and the parts she acting to cry, God I never cried as hard with an dub performance in while.
Robbie Daymond was excellent as well. Really matchs with Japanese on giving life to there character.
Love they used child actors for elementary school story bring a lot realism as well.
And everyone was great as well. But there l one character I wish they bring over actor from Texas to LA is greg ayres to voice Tomohiro. Greg voice always make weepy characters 10 more likeable to me.
All and all 10/10 a masterful work dub.
Stephanie Sheh and all the Temporary ADR Director out did themselves.

I love that N.Y.A.V. Post actually gets child actors to play the child characters in their movie dubs

I just realized that Amanda Winn Lee helped direct this. Does this mean she's returning to voice acting/directing? Because if so that would be great!

@Soul-dragon Isn't she reprising her role as one of the Persona characters too in that new BlazBlue game?

@RetroPokeFan Yep she is, which is good to see given that Yukiko is 99% of the reason I'm buying that game. I'm also currently hoping that she'll reprise her role as Elice (from the Fire Emblem OVA) when the character gets into Heroes.

I've watched the dub, and it's as good as I'd imagined it to be based on the trailer. Props to Stephanie Sheh for casting Lexi Cowden as Shoko - the casting choice for her couldn't be more perfect. I have nothing to complain about this dub at all - it's remarkably well done.

I highly recommend those that haven't seen it to watch it.

I complained about the Your Name cast cuz such a hyped movie received a rather uninspired voice cast, but it looks like they did the opposite here cuz the cast for this dub is very interesting. Getting an actual deaf actress to play Shoko is pretty cool. Might need to check this movie dubbed.

I love the increased authenticity in casting an actual deaf actress. I'm looking forward to watching it when it comes out dubbed.

Well we have official confirmation that NYAV Post is handling the film's dub (which I'm quite glad for): https://soundcloud.com/alltheanimeuk/anime-limited-podcast-24-season-2-ep-2-16th-june-2017#t=57:12

Having seen the film and loved it, I am very curious to see who will be voicing Shouko. She is the one character they can not mess up on especially.
