-This is a book I have written that I am turning into a radio play. I am needing this done by the end of the semester, since this is one of my senior projects. Please note- This book is formated in monologues, so if you do receive any one of these parts, there will be a lot of reading and lines to be said in a short period of time so please Be prepared for that! Any ways, on to the content...

The story is of the apocalypse, at the end time, when man is dying off and the world is being swallowed by a radioactive cloud. In a desperate attempt to save mankind, scientists decided to create artificial humans, by generating human flesh. Before they can finish, human kind nearly vanishes. A human girl wanders into the mist, nearing the end of her life and encounters one of the experiments. They share a disconnected exchange, and begin the next generation.

Again, please be prepared to record a lot of lines

Also, please have a decent mic

Thank you to everyone who auditions!

Name: Evan
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Voice: Soft, and medium toned

Evan is the second of two experiments created in an attempt to revive man kind. At first he seems confused, but quickly learns about human morals and emotions through a human girl. He is more perfectly replicating a human than his counterpart, Adam, and displays emotions and sentiment in a more human way.

Audition Lines:
Line 1:
"I am Evan, the second born of the immortal beings known as The Machines. I have observed humanity neither having knowledge nor ignorance. I need to use an inhuman word to describe the mechanism of humanity; you and I do not speak the same language. However, Iíve picked up human habits of conversation, so that we may vaguely communicate. Please attempt to comprehend."
Line 2:
"Shall I approach, shall I approach, shall I make an uncomfortable flattery of shrewd attention, admiring stares or beckoning examinations? Why does this creature inflict obsession? Why does am I inclined to stare? Why so blank, so incomplete?"
Line 3:
"When Iím alone with her again, Iíll make her swear to keep a secret. Adam cannot know the mere phenomenon that we are, in clean precision. He may want to destroy it and view it like a sin."

2 Shout Outs!

Name: Adam
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Voice: Harsh, kind of broken

Adam actually does not have as many lines as the others but is still important. He is a machine as well. His line sound weird, almost like he is having a hard time understanding the world. He is very attached to the stories of the bible, which is what the humans told him when they created him. He believe human are the equivalent of god to the machine, being their creator. This makes him very hostile.

Audition Lines:
Line 1:
"What is a man but to god? Let there be expanse between the separate. Of the creation and the creator."
Line 2:
"A serpent is more crafty, an animal to touch, one that must die. She, I was not sure, was a god or a serpent. But, she beckons Evan."
Line 3:
"For we are saved."

Cool concept. I tried going a little more subdued with the characters voices as they came from machines. Hope this is what you're looking for and I can't wait to see...or hear rather the finished product. Good luck with your creation! :)

What is Patreon?
• Why is there a limit to 4 active projects per member?
While a project owner is welcome to have as many active projects running as they wish outside BTVA, the limit is imposed because having too many active projects can be somewhat "unrealistic". We want those who are auditioning to feel that each project is getting the attention and quality it deserves given auditioners themselves are putting in their own time and effort. Once a project owner flags a project as "Completed", they are welcome to create a new project.
• Can I audition more than once for a character?
The system is built to allow ONE audition per character. This is to avoid having a number of auditions from the same member and making the project owner have to listen to all of them. For now, if you or the project owner wishes you to submit another audition, the project owner will need to "Delete" your audition. The project owner can do this in the "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link.
• How do I flag a character as being Cast?
As a project owner you will see a "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link for each character. Clicking it will allow you to Cast, Backup or Pass an audition. Casting a character will prevent new auditions from being submitted for that character.
• Why do I need a valid email address?
If you audition for a project and are cast in a role, you will notified by email.
