Archibald “Archie” Andrews is an effortlessly cool teenager—when he’s not garnering the adoration of his female classmates from his good looks, he’s the envy of everyone with his guitar playing skills. Despite being in a love triangle with Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge, he has a reputation of being selfless, loyal and someone who is eager to lend a hand anytime. However, he’s not perfect: he’s a major klutz, often leaving a trail of destruction wherever he goes, though he has only has the best of intentions.
"(to audience) Hi. My name is Archie Andrews. Welcome to Riverdale!"
"(to audience) There is this girl... was this girl... her name is Betty Cooper"
"(to audience) Really, I'm fine, mostly, okay... I'm not at all fine. I'm deeply bummed but don't get me wrong. I don't hate her now, she's awesome... but it was an atomic breakup, we haven't spoken since, I don't even know what we'd say"
Elizabeth “Betty” Cooper is the classic girl-next-door. She’s always ready to help out those who are in need—whether it’s volunteering at the hospital or fixing up Archie’s broken down jalopy. She excels in school, sports and extracurricular activities—everything except for romance, where she often finds herself playing second fiddle to her BFF Veronica Lodge for Archie’s undivided attention. She never lets this get her down though, and her kindhearted ways have endeared her to everyone in Riverdale.
Forsythe P. “Jughead” Jones III is best recognized by his insatiable appetite and the crowned beanie that he sports on a regular basis. Best friend of Archie Andrews, Jughead is Archie’s polar opposite: aloof, analytical and avoids dating and drama at all costs. Under his casual demeanor lie an incredibly sharp wit and a compassionate soul.
One of the nicest boys in school, Kevin Keller is the new kid in town and the new school president at Riverdale High. Kevin had tougher times growing up in Bricktown, where his good looks did not develop for a number of years. He was part of a geeky clique along with friends Wendy and William—the former of which had a longtime crush on him. The Keller family moved from place-to-place due to Mr. Keller’s army duties. Finally settling in Riverdale, Kevin was first eyed by Veronica who did not realize he was gay. He has since become a part of the gang. Kevin enjoys eating almost as much as Jughead, and can get quite flustered by Reggie’s jokes. Much like his father Colonel Keller, Kevin hopes to join the military one day and fight the good fight.

Reginald “Reggie” Mantle is a self-absorbed, wisecracking schemer. He’s the rival of many at Riverdale High, especially Archie Andrews. The many practical jokes and ruthless plots he plays on other students make him more infamous than popular. He especially loves jumping at the chance to break up other people’s relationships—whether it’s trying to steal Veronica away from Archie or Midge away from Moose. There could be more to Reggie than just his egotistical and manipulative ways, but he won’t let it show that easily.

Maria Rodriguez is smart, sassy and not one to shy away from speaking her mind. She keeps tabs on the goings-on at Riverdale, and does all that she can to maintain balance—even if that means occasionally meddling in people’s lives. She means well, though she, along with her best friend Sheila Wu, tend to be gossip queens. But popularity and high school drama are not all that she cares about, Maria is also an extremely talented lyricist.
Sheila Wu is a more recent transport to Riverdale High School, from Pine Point High. Sheila had no problem adjusting to her new surroundings, as her confidence and eye for fashion have cemented her place in Riverdale. Sheila has a lot going on for her, not only is she popular for her unique sense of style—she also makes and designs her own clothes. Though she’s prone to gossip, she tries to do right by all and maintain a large group of friends.
Trevor “Trev” Smith is the younger brother of Josie & the Pussycats’ bassist Valerie Smith. Like his big sister, he too has musical talent—he’s a skilled vocalist. Also like his sister, he doesn’t let his skill or fame go to his head, instead remaining laid-back and humble. When the Smith family moved to Riverdale, Trev set his sights on Betty Cooper, creating some unwanted competition for Archie Andrews.
The brilliant Dilton Doiley is the smartest teenager in Riverdale, and could be the smartest person in town. Dilton can always be found studying a new subject or working on an invention in his lab. His hard work has won him many awards, but his inventions rarely seem to work properly. The flipside of his studious ways is the lack of romantic interests in Dilton’s life. Even when he manages to ask a girl out, he usually bores her by discussing his theories rather than talking to his date during their time together! Due to his small stature, Dilton has asked Moose to accompany him on dates—just to raise him up for the end-of-the-night kiss! He is quick to help his friends using his intellect… though his inventions sometimes make even bigger messes. In the end, Dilton is a small genius with a big heart.
An amateur filmmaker with big aspirations, Raj Patel is a new addition to Riverdale’s student body. Raj lives through his video camera, and often shoots small movies starring his fellow teenagers. Most of these films end up on the internet where “Rajomatic” has a number of fans. Sometimes he has issues deciding when to use his camera, and has annoyed his friends with his poor timing. Raj’s work finally paid off when he was asked to shoot a movie in India with the Riverdale High gang. A romance with Betty began to bloom, but creating the film was the most important thing to him. He continues to make movie magic, with future blockbusters on the horizon.
He works as a businessman. Although the specifics of his job are not clear, it evidently involves an aspect of industrial automotive sales. He sometimes claims himself capable of more skills than he actually is. He is conservative and has old-fashioned ideals, and is bothered by the changes in the new generation, which he must endure due to his having a teenage son. However, beneath this lies a very soft heart and he occasionally displays a sense of humor towards Archie. The two of them are close, and share many father/son activities.
Mr. Weatherbee is the principal of Riverdale High School, where Archie Andrews is a student. To Riverdale students and (most) staff, he is commonly called Mr. Weatherbee, due to his authority position. Sometimes, Archie and his friends playfully call him The Bee. Mr. Weatherbee is a heavyset, no-nonsense man who dresses in fairly old-fashioned clothes, including wearing pince-nez eyeglasses perched on the tip of a vermiform nose and a tiny wisp of a toupee that perpetually flies off whenever he is upset or startled.
Veronica Lodge moved to Riverdale and took the entire town by storm. She comes from big money, thanks to her tycoon father Hiram Lodge. Her focus is always on the finer things in life, from the fanciest threads to the most exclusive restaurants. Adjusting to small-town life isn’t easy for Veronica, but she’s managed to forge some unbreakable bonds—especially with her best friend Betty Cooper and her boyfriend Archie Andrews. Even when she’s competing with Betty for a date with Archie, their relationships manage to stay intact.
"(crying) How could you do this to me, daddy? No, It's awful. Like those places in china where they make phones."
"Smithers, It's Ms. Veronica. I'm at school and I need a change of clothes. Hurry!"
"(laugh) Thank you girl. You really did cheer me up. Imagine decorating Veronica Lodge like a Parade Float. What, didn't they have any potato sacks? Come on, Archiekins. Let's bail before she trots out the bib overalls."
While a project owner is welcome to have as many active projects running as they wish outside BTVA, the limit is imposed because having too many active projects can be somewhat "unrealistic". We want those who are auditioning to feel that each project is getting the attention and quality it deserves given auditioners themselves are putting in their own time and effort. Once a project owner flags a project as "Completed", they are welcome to create a new project.
The system is built to allow ONE audition per character. This is to avoid having a number of auditions from the same member and making the project owner have to listen to all of them. For now, if you or the project owner wishes you to submit another audition, the project owner will need to "Delete" your audition. The project owner can do this in the "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link.
As a project owner you will see a "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link for each character. Clicking it will allow you to Cast, Backup or Pass an audition. Casting a character will prevent new auditions from being submitted for that character.
