25th Anniversary Street Fighter Collection's Edition

This will be for any big Street Fighter fan, and for only $150, as a huge fan myself, this sounds mighty tempting.

Most of the recent games, sound tracks for the entire series of games, OVA's, the IIV animated series, the animated movie, an 8-inch statue and some other stuff I probably forgot about.

As much as I hate to say it, I'll be skipping this, tempting as it seems.

Two reasons. 1, I've officially decided that I'm never buying anything Capcom-related again (all the crazy shenanigans involving Street Fighter X Tekken were the last straw for me), and 2. I already have all the games included in some form, plus the music and the II movie, so I don't have much incentive to get this.

Now, if this came out a couple years ago or Capcom wasn't in such horrible management right now, I'd have bought it no questions asked.

Yeah, admittedly stuff like this makes it hard for me to hate them completely.

So... anyone care to make any bets as to how they'll screw this up? Maybe there's a typo and it's actually $1499?!

$150 actually is a REALLY good deal for the sheer amount of stuff included. If it was $1000, I don't think anyone other than the most dedicated collectors would even consider it.

BTW, they are making a special edition of Resident Evil 6 that includes a Leon jacket, and it really is over $1000. Yeah, they went there.

It's actually a very good deal if you've missed out on at least a majority of these, especially since they've included at least most of the DLC content. Then again, it could really be just another big scam since they can't seem to get enough of our money.

I don't know. We'll have to wait and see, because I'm sure there must be a bit more for it to be really worth it.

Big surprise, Capcom found a way to screw this up. In addition to the base package, PS3 owners get the Alpha games and all the Third Strike DLC. 360 owners? No bonuses whatsoever.

The bonuses don't matter to me since I have the Alpha series, can live with my PS2 copy of Third Strike, and don't have a 360 anyway, but to those who don't have a PS3 this is a real low-blow.

Really? As a 360 user, that sucks. But at least I have the PS2 Street Fighter Alpha Anthology and 3rd Strike Online Edition.

Yeah. If you're a long-term Street Fighter fan who owns all the games up to date, it's not a big loss, but if you're a newcomer with only a 360... tough luck, I guess?
