Forum Layout

Is there anything we can do to shorten the forum. Seems like it goes on forever. The stuff I access are in the beginning or end and it's kind of a pain to sit and scroll.

Maybe make it so they are under a sub-category or make so it likes to a sub-forum.

Sorry to hear that you don't like our new 'upgrade' on the forums

A couple things though - The contest section will only be there during active contests

Also, (you forum rookie you ) there are little arrow buttons on the far right side of each forum heading that you can click to collapse that individual forum down so just click those arrows on all the forums you dont use and hocus pocus you won't have to scroll anymore (and it does save which ones you collapse for future visits)

EDIT: I also moved the 'special topic' forum so that it should be up at the top for you now by the other contest forum - hope that helps - btw the new forum will make more sense to you later probably because each tv show page and other site page is going to link to the forum instead of having the comment fields at the bottom of each page

I knew that bit but it is still bad forum etiquette. Forums are supposed to be stream lined. Just normally but w/e.

I gotta disagree with you on this one I don't see it as bad etiquette at all. Ours is really no bigger than most other forums like this (TFW2005, Toonzone etc.) And all of the forums have those collapse arrows for that exact reason so that individual users can hide the forums they are not interested in and make it customized to their liking. As far as streamlining there are no rules that forums should be this way or that way...thats just your personal preference

Sorry you don't like our new set up but I for one am very excited for the discussions that will most likely take place because of the new sections

I will say that I will look into the 'format' of the actual forum layout so it spreads more across the page horizontally so it isnt quite as big vertically - that way it will appear more 'streamlined' than it appears currently.

Slight nitpick. Could we make it so when clicking "View Forum Leaders" it only shows Admin/Super/Mod/Judges and not Full Reg Users or New Users or W/E. Then people know who runs the forums stuff. That other stuff is already in the Member List.

It's not a tough fix. I used to use vB a while back and know the newest version too but I just think it may help that spot.
