I'm not trying to put words into people's mouths, but it wouldn't suprise me if the two (frankly, poorly done) "recap arcs" didn't kill some of the hype for a lot of people.

The first arc yes but Frieza was handled pretty well IMO.

Getting Brian Drummond to play Copy Vegeta was a brilliant move by Chris Sabat.

Though one can hope if one day that if Ocean does do Super, Roger Rhodes is cast as their version of Copy Vegeta while Brian plays Vegeta.

To some extent, I think it did. Though for anyone who didn't see the movies that came out before Dragonball Super, in a way, those arcs fulfilled their purpose. Though how it was handled, I have mixed opinions on. Once it for away from those two arcs, it became much better in my opinion. Now the show is at the peak of it's popularity, with the Tournament of Power arc. Which is due to end in a few months as it winds down to it's finale

Oh there's more to this then Zumassu? Curious on the rest.

And IMO Chris Ayres was the highlight(for his appropriate enthusiasm in tortutimg other being like Gohan while not being corny like Linda Youmg) as well as Ginyu, but the rest of the Frieza force was wasted at the same most notably Tagoma and the bull guy(forget his name) and Resurrection F at the same time was better for using Tagoma properly, but Battle Of Gods is better all around.

And understandably the retcon/retell get was a "waste of time" if watched the movies first, but just saying the movies were canon when not everyone saw them on the other hand,

We didn't win either way.

And my bad misread the post as quoting me.

I still wish Ocean Kai could be released somewhere, but this makes up for it.

Here's something that's occurred to me after Brian's cameo. When we get to the Tournament of Power, do you think it would be interesting if FUNimation got the Ocean cast to voice one universe, and the AB cast to voice another? I'd've also suggested Harmony Gold, but that's kind of already happening.

I mean, FUNimation made a very good choice getting Brian Drummond to appear in their dub. There is a chance they could do it again. Also it's a welcome change from casting the usual actors you'd come to expect from the talent that is usually seen in various FUNimation dubs

Wouldn't getting a lot of Ocean voice actors be too expensive? Although I wouldn't be opposed to Scott McNeil getting a role.

I’m really positive getting the Ocean cast for one universe would exceed their budget (and I’m positive they haven’t looked too into AB/Harmony/Blue Water). I’d love Scott McNeil to voice two of the Universe 6 Namekians if anything.
