This doesn't bode well for the Bang Zoom dub
Ahhhh fvck. Goddamnit. Toonami Asia has been RTing Kaiji Tang's tweets on recording the dub recently. I sure hope that at least meant future airings or such...? Anyway, I guess it's just cheaper & they have no reason to produce an extra dub (especially for a show with no end in sight; I'll retain my doubts & be positively surprised if this dub ever continues &/or finishes.

The thing about those episode descriptions is we have no idea who wrote them. These things are often done on the cheap and I really wouldn't be surprised if some intern just copied them from Wikipedia or something. I still remember the Toonami Asia promo which clearly used random art from Google.(Their Goten was actually Kid Goku). And that was something which actually aired on television.

Unless someone who watches the broadcast can confirm what dub it is this really doesn't mean much. The Bang Zoom dub is still being recorded anyway and there are other markets that could use it.

The episode titles on the schedule were the Bang Zoom titles up until recently when they switched to FUNi's so something is definitely up. As for them still recording, they could just be fulfilling their contractual obligation to do the 52 episodes that Toonami Asia ordered but that doesn't mean that they HAVE to air them

I don't think the episode titles being the same is enough proof to start dancing on the grave of this dub. The Funimation version is now ahead of them so BZ could've easily just started using their titles to save time or money, similar to the Westwood dub. Also, these episodes aren't even out yet so it could also just be a placeholder for the channel until the proper titles are given to them, we really can't say for sure.

As mentioned earlier, Toonami Asia's twitter has retweeted some of the actors from the BZ dub so it makes little sense for them to not commit to airing the rest of it. I would imagine there would need to be a high demand for the Funimation dub for them to consider switching, and I doubt the Asian viewers care too much.

If the ratings are severely declining and Toonami Asia is receiving a flood of emails begging for the Funimation dub, then yes, they might consider changing, but that doesn't seem to be the case at all as I've seen no evidence of it. The only thing I've seen are American fans who hated on the dub to begin with pushing this idea that the dub will change. It just comes across as wishful thinking from a biased minority who basically want #onlyonedub.

It's doubtful that the contracts have changed this early on in the shows run so I'd personally rather wait and see what happens.

I agree with you on the ratings but let me tell you from experience asian networks dont give a ***** of what the people want even if it is in the majority they just dont as long as their show is getting good enough ratings by their standards they will run it for how long they want
