Going back to my earlier comments/nitpicks about the show (specifically how it never seemed to bring anything bigger to show), I figured I would share a couple ideas/just what I would have done differently...

Like... in the second episode of season 1, Megatron mentions "my army will come..." in responce to Starscream inquiring about his 6 year search in space seeking out more troops. Well it's now season 3 and no sign of Meg's army coming. And really this could had been added to a great climatic season finale/setup for a new season. Something like Megs decides to do away with hiding, with these massive Decepticon armies attacking worldwide, revealing the transformer presence to the Earth. By the next episode, they've captured a number of major cities (ergo eliminating the whole "crowds issue" Prime has been avoiding) as well opening up the series locations to some bigger and even "iconic" locations. Rather than just "rock quarry", "boat yard", "gas station out in the desert", etc.

Hell, you could even make a Miko-focused episode (I know, I know, put down your torches and pitchforks, please allow me to explain) where Tokyo was hit hard by the Decepticon invasion, and thus to make sure her parents are okay, she, along with Bulkhead and Wheeljack sneak into Tokyo to find them and get them out of the captured city before they get caught by the Deception Occupation.

The Decepticons occupying major cities across the globe sounds more menacing than simply them having a big tower threatening to fire on major cities that "SOMEHOW" is still covered up by the government (seriously, how could they cover that one up?)

Or even this... the sequence where Ultra Magnus appears in the show... to tie into that occupation story I suggested, instead of just some small ship... UM shows up in the Ark! With several other iconic Autobots to join the team on Earth. So not only increasing the Autobot numbers, they now have a new base of operations that rivals that of the Nemesis. You could just imagine Ratchet's reaction to getting an actual Cybertronian lab considering his frustrations over the limitations of human technology.

But, oh well... what happened happened. And so far I have been enjoying season 3, with the following episodes to come looking to be good.

May 17 - Project Predacon
The Decepticons launch a new scheme to clone an army of beasts.

May 24th - Chain of Command
Tension builds within the Autobot team as they face the return of the Predacon. (Likely referring to PredaKing)
I could be wrong, but wasn't Megs referring to his army coming as his search for Dark Energon to repower the dead warriors on Cybertron as zombies (AKA Terrorcons)? Its been a while since Season 1.....

I guess the thing about new storylines is, the writing is already on the wall for this show, which they would've gotten inklings of during storyline and production. While technology has come a long ways, I'm sure it's still insanely expensive to CG any characters or backgrounds so excessive reuse would be in force wherever possible (my feels is that more Preds will show up but as usual the toy:show ratio will be high:low, similarly not all characters will undergo the transformation their toys have... I would like to be pleasantly surprised to be wrong though!)

As for Miko.... she has her moments. Her personality will always be annoying and extroverted but her 'revenge' plot with Jackie after Bulkhead was almost offlined midway through season 2 was a more serious step in the right direction.

Why are the writers of the show so insistent in doing relic hunts (again)? This show has so much potential that hasn't be tapped in still. The set-up, the character and animation is so great yet yet the plot always held back. The writers I refuse to call them terrible since most of them have worked on other great cartoons but it's like they have no sense of direction.

I just hope whatever comes after Prime and especially if it was a sequel have a game plan set out from the beginning to the end.

Starscream being self aware of the issue with the plot is such a mixed blessing. We all sympathize with him here but when will the show realise that the plot comes from the characters and not the things they need hunt for? Armada and Cybertron had a better clear cut goal with the mcguffins they wanted but what does Prime get out of these.

I'll probably still watch the show because I do like Starscream, Arcee, Smokescreen, Soundwave, Shockwave, Bulkhead, Ultra Magnus and Fowler.

I think Starscream's time in suit could have longer. At least have an episode where he takes on Megatron with it. I mean if he can take Optimus who knows what he would have done with to Megatron?

You'd think that the show would try to do some more interesting things like that, but I kind of get the feeling that the creative heads are sitting at their boardroom table thinking "Hmmm... should we do this really interesting plot twist and have it be a recurring theme for the rest of the season? Or perhaps utilize this really deep character with a lot of potential to change the tides of the show? ... Nah. We'll just completely drop that interesting plot twist and randomly kill off that character with loads of potential."

Indeed it was.

Apparently they decided to name a new Insecticon (the one Steve Blum voiced, apparently its name was Bombshock.)

Next week the Wreckers go to Scotland!

Yeah, I saw the name "Bombshock" in the credits and was like "Well, that's more interesting than "Insecticon #1", I suppose". Not that Bombshock will amount to anything other than a random namedrop...
