I guess the thing about new storylines is, the writing is already on the wall for this show, which they would've gotten inklings of during storyline and production. While technology has come a long ways, I'm sure it's still insanely expensive to CG any characters or backgrounds so excessive reuse would be in force wherever possible (my feels is that more Preds will show up but as usual the toy:show ratio will be high:low, similarly not all characters will undergo the transformation their toys have... I would like to be pleasantly surprised to be wrong though!) As for Miko.... she has her moments. Her personality will always be annoying and extroverted but her 'revenge' plot with Jackie after Bulkhead was almost offlined midway through season 2 was a more serious step in the right direction.

Why are the writers of the show so insistent in doing relic hunts (again)? This show has so much potential that hasn't be tapped in still. The set-up, the character and animation is so great yet yet the plot always held back. The writers I refuse to call them terrible since most of them have worked on other great cartoons but it's like they have no sense of direction.
I just hope whatever comes after Prime and especially if it was a sequel have a game plan set out from the beginning to the end. Starscream being self aware of the issue with the plot is such a mixed blessing. We all sympathize with him here but when will the show realise that the plot comes from the characters and not the things they need hunt for? Armada and Cybertron had a better clear cut goal with the mcguffins they wanted but what does Prime get out of these. I'll probably still watch the show because I do like Starscream, Arcee, Smokescreen, Soundwave, Shockwave, Bulkhead, Ultra Magnus and Fowler. |

Yeah, I saw the name "Bombshock" in the credits and was like "Well, that's more interesting than "Insecticon #1", I suppose". Not that Bombshock will amount to anything other than a random namedrop...
