Sandman as a Kid in Ultimate Spider-Man

This is now something new, but a low. This weekend's new Ultimate Spider-Man will debut Sandman, but however he's just a Kid in the series.

Let me explain why they changed Sandman into a kid:

Jeph Loeb is in charge and he's an idiot. That's it.

Well that's good to see. While I am wary that Sandman is villainous because he's lonely and not a straight up thug like he was in the comics, I figured that since most of Spidey's rogues gallery are thugs, a little variation in motivation isn't a bad idea, even if said motivation is stupid in my opinion.

I should feel bad about making assumptions, but since Jeph Loeb is involved, i really don't. Still, I shouldn't jump to conclusions really fast.

Agreed.

That being said I honestly like the Spider-Man 3 version of Sandman. That would have been better for the basis of a sympathetic Sandman.

Same here. Sandman is a three dimensional character something that Spider-Man 3 and Spectacular Spider-Man got rather well with their takes on him.
